hope mobile submissions look alright! here are three of the setups i’ve given sadie and sybil in the past. it’s hard to see, but after the initial “smear prevention” bedding layer, i make networks of tunnels with tubes and boxes for them to build on, before dumping bedding all over everything \o/

Chripes, no kidding. The work I had to go through just to figure out the best way to reply to this reply alone illustrates that. Twitter can be a bit of a chronological mess sometimes but once you figure it out it’s pretty damn intuitive, and it’s the same whether you’re on mobile or the computer, more or less. Even just figuring out you’ve gotten a like or a reply is so bizarrely non-intuitive... Twitter’s just like “hey here’s a notification here”

Tumblr for sure has features that are really good, like tagging posts for organization, that’s huge. And microblogging isn’t good for everything, sometimes a nice big post where you can embed images is what you need. But lord if it was more accessible that’d be just great.

oh god yeah that sucks :( what happened?!

entirely my fault. I got too close to a raccoon and it bit me. like I’m a dumbass and literally offered my hand to it because I was like “this is vaguely cat shaped” even though I knew better. pretty sure it wasn’t rabid, but annie was like “best case nothing happens. worst case you die one of the most painful deaths known to humans.” so I had to go to the hospital last night and get three shots (two immunoglobulin, one rabies vaccine) as round one of the treatment. next three will just be the rabies vaccine but like. I made an Error and it sucks and it’s gonna be expensive too.

heya! i wanted to ask - gerbil owners always say never to use plastic (they chew it to bits instantly @_@), but a lot of mouse n ham owners don't have the same plastic aversion? i'm trying to thoroughly research before getting my own mice so i wanted to know your experiences/thoughts? :'0

Many mice will definitely chew plastic when given the opportunity, but I wouldn’t put them at the same level as gerbils. I’ve only had a single incident of a plastic bin being chewed through (and it was my fault; most of the time plastic bins are completely escape proof but I chose the wrong size). If a product is made for small animals and it’s plastic then it’s okay to give it to them and it’s ok if they chew on it. I hope that helps!
