If Star Trek were a person I’d tell it how much it has meant to me across the years.

I would thank it for always providing me with a new, different perspective, even if at the time I didn’t understand it or accept it.

I would give thanks for always reminding me that the future will be whatever words and actions we invest into those around us every day.

I would give them thanks for uplifting inspiration in all arts, from cinema to cartooning, writing, painting and music.

I would thank them for keeping me and a great many others for looking forward to something even when things everywhere look dismal. (It has literally saved my life and this is the first time I’ve ever said it.) I would say that no matter how my life comes to a close, I will be forever grateful to all the talents on screen and off for making me feel that things will be okay.

Idk if ya have had this experience before

But have ya ever joined a existing fandom- a community that’d been around… since before you were even born by a decade or more… and suddenly find yourself in the fandom- And- and it’s not you’ve been part of it for years- as long as these other people who have been children and now are becoming GRANDPARENTS themselves…

And yet- you feel YOU FEEL like you’ve waited just as long as these people have for this one THIS ONE moment to finally happen? That you’ve been through what these other people feel? That you can chant and hug and scream and yell and cry with these people cuz it feels HUST AS IMPORTANT and emotional to you like you’ve been waiting 30 years too?

Because that’s what I’ve been soo happy about- it took 30 years for this one thing to happen and I feel I’ve been there since that too and Ute I. Only got into the fandom 5-6 years ago and yet- it feels like I’ve been waiting even longer than that, like I can feel where they are coming from

BECAUSE THEY HAVE BROIGTH HER VACK, THEY BROUGHT THE ENTERPRISE D BACK BITCHES IM SOO GODAMN HAPPY UM CRYINF AGAINNNNN
