Y'all Canada called an election and I am so salty I can't vote. This election was called in an underhanded attempt for the liberals to save face. Let the NDP step up to help this country actually recover instead of going into an even bigger recession. We need social work make work programs, and community support, not half-baked promises from some pretty boy or right-wing social "justice".

If you DON'T like paying into EI, only for the government to turn around and use those funds to pad their budget, then you should consider voting for Canada's NDP. Neither O'Toole or Trudeau agrees, even when it's promised in their campaigns.

This is your friendly neighbourhood Democrat here to remind you to check that you’re registered to vote BEFORE September 20th and ask any questions you need to ask long in advance!! Don’t wait!!

If you need any help PLEASE let me know, I want to encourage the younger generations to go out and vote and it doesn’t have to be a complicated process! If you need anything I got you!!

Update (August 27th ‘21): To people voting for the first time unsure of what to do right now, the best thing you can do right now is go to the Elections Canada website and CHECK TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE REGISTERED TO VOTE !!!

And then go and research the parties running! And please bear in mind that we have not had a conservative government since 2011 and it is for good reason. What they say can seem promising, but just like Donald Trump, they quickly become fascists overruling a country in a dangerous manner; please trust me when I tell you they are LIARS.

Their slogan is also a white supremacist dogwhistle; which is both disturbing and vile.

We are currently under Liberal rule, and while it’s not as bad as conservatism, it is by NO means a good government. Canadians are struggling so SO much but Trudeau is a master at avoiding issues and cover them up so nobody ever finds out.

Once again if you need more information on these issues, don’t hesitate to ask me anything! I know I was scared and confused on how to vote for the first time, but it is something that is EXTREMELY important AND it is your right! There are NO excuses! Work/schools are REQUIRED BY LAW to give you time off to vote if necessary and you can get mail in ballots if you cannot get to a voting poll!!
