My personal ranking of the Brown Eyed Girls solo releases 💛
In honor of their 16th anniversary I decided to rank their solo releases, I have done their title tracks before but never thought to do this so now is the perfect time. I did add their solos from their RE_ vive album. I also decided to omit a few releases as Gain, JeA and Miryo all have their big major releases but they also randomly release random digital singles or OSTs and they aren't always as great and I never listen to them. So I decided to save myself time and not include those, so RIP to We Fell In Love, Nostalgia, Rock Paper Scissors, Bad Girl etc etc. This was just for fun, just because a song is low doesn't mean I hate it, someone has to be at the top and someone has to be at the bottom.
1. Dear Rude by JeA feat. Cheetah : A male fan once had the audacity to say to her to she needs to retire and find and husband/have children, this song talks on the misogyny of the industry of how if she was not a girl she wouldn't be told such things, she can do whatever she wants 🤘😤🤘
2. Invitation by Miryo feat. Uhm Jung Hwa : Literally this was a masterpiece, the most iconic thing she has done honestly 😍
3. Bbi Ri Bba Bba by Narsha : the queen witch, she earned the title Korea's Lady Gaga, really wish she would give us that 2nd mini album, it's been 12 years 😭
4. Paradise Lost by Gain : Loved the blue hair, she's an icon and also fuck YG for making those boys of the mixnine show cover this song and completely fail, it was such a bad arrangement
5. Yellow by Miryo : I love the dreamy rap vibe she gave us
6. Ain't Got Nobody by Miryo feat. DEAN : Her Unpretty Rapstar song, super hype, would love it if these two collab again 🤘😍🤘
7. Irreversible by Gain : her solo debut, we love an accordion, she gave us a dramatic MV, dancing in the dessert, this song is 12 years old 😭
8. I Love You, I Love You by Miryo feat. Sunny : I never thought I would see a BEG/SNSD interaction like this because both groups are so different, Sunny has a beautiful voice
9. Bloom by Gain : The mature version of IU's Good Day, I was so shocked when I saw she dyed her hair blonde, one of her few positive happy releases that's not dark or artsy
10. Fxxk You by Gain feat. Bumkey : I felt conflicted on where to put this, it's a great song with solid vocals and production however because of the theme of the song it's not something I go out of my way to listen, concept wise it's the best solo release of all the girls for sure 👏👏👏
11. I'm In Love by Narsha : Her vocals are so sweet, I wonder if she or her members sang this at her wedding 😭
12. Dirty by Miryo : Her official solo debut, she clickbaited us with those teasers thinking it would be a horror esque concept song BUT I still love how this song turned out!
13. Can I See You Again by Miryo : I love her rap style, her voice sounds great, the start of her low budget era !!
14. Truth or Dare by Gain : Love the concept, not crazy about the Blurred Lines production vibe HOWEVER she sampled her line from Brown Eyed Girls L.O.V.E!! It was brief but I lost it when she did that!! Queen samples her own songs in her songs, ground-breaking
15. Mamma Mia! by Narsha feat. Sunny Hill : Probably not many peoples favorite song, however I love it, the crazy autotune on SH, the sing talk rap, plus the adult 🔞 concept, she is the adult idol! 💋
16. Love Like A Spring Rain, Farewell Like A Winter Rain by Narsha : Such a long title, her first solo release in forever, it was very cute and I was hoping this would jumpstart her solo return but alas...
17. Winter It's You by JeA : Her xmas song, very beautiful, her vocals are unrivalled
18. Apple by Gain feat. Jay Park : fun and flirty, minus points for the feature, he was okay but ugh why not ask your girl Miryo or even Taecyeon of 2PM 👀
19. Greedyy by JeA feat. 😬 : love that IU wrote this for her, a solid song, JeA is highly known as the ballad queen so for to her release this was a nice breath of fresh air, would be higher but minus points for the feature, she's BFFs with Cheetah, she got Miryo like.... There's other women out there to have feature....
20. Let's Hug by JeA feat. Jungyup of Brown Eyed Soul : When legends unite, their voices blend well together
21. Stray Cat by JeA : I was very happy with her debut solo album and that we got 3 singles from it, love the artsy MV
22. Carnival (The Last Day) by Gain : Admittedly I'm not crazy about this like her others however I do love it just not as much as her others 😞 sorry
23. While You're Sleeping by JeA : she sings her heart out in this song, very lengthy but she kills it
24. Brunch by Gain & Hyungwoo : Her random duet album, I wonder if Jo Kwon was jealous 👀
25. Because You Sting by JeA & G.O of MBLAQ : a solid duet 👌
26. Bad Temper by Gain : A good song, it's over 10 years old and while I listened to it a lot when it was released it is one of the songs I slowly stopped listening to because she added better songs to her discography
27. A Tempo by Gain : this was clearly a reject IU song she was given but I love it
28. The Letter by JeA : a solid ballad but this time there is a violin 🎻
29. Only You by Gain : I like the eerie vibe it has
30. You're Different by JeA feat. Ra.D : A solid ballad, one of the last few ballads she released that I had any interest in, she's got a great voice but sometimes I want more than a ballad
31. Queen by Miryo feat. Gain : A low budget song that you would probably hear in a trashy gay club that can't afford to play good music, it's a guilty pleasure song 😬😞

In closing they are one of thew few groups where all the members have solo music, obviously Gain is the most successful solo wise and gave us many iconic moments that can't be replicated, Narsha gave us everything and then disappeared, Miryo gave us a solid solo debut then took a long break and now just gives us droplets here and there, and JeA is our ballad queen who on occasion has given us something new which I love! I'm not sure when they'll get back together or when we'll get more solos but nonetheless they all have a solid catalog of songs to listen too 👌
