I’m sorry to hear you’re not doing well- and I hope that things improve soon!
What do you believe Ganondorf’s stance is on family? And is there anyone that he trusts?
Or if you’ve answered those previously- what is one headcanon that you’re extremely proud of, and attached to for your portrayal specifically?
"The Gerudo operate with a rather unique sense of unity and sisterhood that can be likened to a large, loving family. It was during my first diplomatic excursion to Hyrule Castle that I had learned that my race was one the few cultures whose concepts of family extend beyond simply blood relation. You see, Gerudo sisters embrace a profound bond that is born from the common thread of our heritage; many of our traditions maintain emphasis on cooperation and we rely on one another's strengths to survive within the harsh desert environment."
"From a young age, Gerudo women are shown the importance of loyalty, reliability, respect, love, and care for her fellow Gerudo. It is a cultural essence...A collective understanding that every Gerudo is connected as sisters, as mothers, as daughters, all working together to ensure the safety and well-being of one another -- especially our young ones."
"Trust is built through this strong sense of unity, which allows Gerudo mothers to know that their children are being watched over and protected even when they are not within direct sight. We commit to supporting each other; we foster an environment where we all take the roles of caregivers, protectors, and nurturers. The bustling markets, for instance, become a place of shared responsibility with everyone playing a part in looking after each other's children as though they were their own."
"My trust is placed in my mothers, for obvious reason, yes. However, many women guided me throughout my youth and they helped me navigate not only the twisting and winding road of growing up, but also my ascension. Two women were my mentors, one of which taught my basic lessons, the same foundational education that all Gerudo children receive. The second tutor meticulously prepared the noble lesson plans that were designed to prepare me for the responsibilities and challenges that came with my eventual role in leading our people. I have a small advisory council that has seemed to evolve alongside me as I grew into both my roles as prince and king. I trust my council. I trust my capable captain, Aveil... But perhaps, above all, I trust my second-in-command, Nabooru, the most."
"I trust her with knowing what decisions to make when I am unavailable, I trust that she knows what our people need. I trust her with protecting our home, our fortress, our desert, our sisters... And I trust her with handling my heart."
“It seems this place has a dark history.” (For Rotana!)

"A prison - an entire prison dedicated to just one prisoner?" She muttered, not doubting Desinii's translation so much as the logic of doing so. "And the Hylian script with the Gerudo, with the Sheikah and the Goron, I just - it defies reason! If I didn't know any better, I'd say it was a plant!"
There was something of a joke at the academy about hiding pots and pans around the desert and sending new historians on wild grouse chases to find them, but the dedication it would have taken to go underground into the ruins of a long-abandoned structure was taking the prank a bit too far.
"Who could be that dangerous that they need all this pomp and circumstance just to hold them?"
She turned around, holding her luminous-stone lantern aloft. A few sand-rusted chains, the marks of beasts who had made the prison their home, however temporarily, and the flaking paint of script that was becoming more difficult to interpret by the minute.
"And then there's the time period... Ranta's going to be upset, this is much older than she thought."

Link's expression is fond as he pulls his friend back up onto her feet, or rather her foot, although a further study of her face smooths the cheerfulness from his expression. She's frustrated, he can tell that alone, and it is disappointing that they'll now have to turn around from their exploring.
It'd been awhile since they had the chance to go exploring anymore, what with Link off at the Castle to finally start his knight-training. And even before that, Link had been busy training with the Gerudo, meaning that his time was similarly occupied, although at least closer to home.
Grimacing, he turns to his pack, trying to see if he has any available rations that he can spare to share, only to be frustrated when he comes up empty-handed. He had fallen out of the habit of preparing food like his mothers had shown him, almost always having something ready to be cooked, cut, stewed, or baked, and it almost made him feel naked. Not that food would help fix the injury most likely, but it would give his friend a bit more energy to keep going.
Tapping his chest, he places his left fisted hand on his right flat palm, raising both into the air. << I can get help? >> he suggests, although he doesn't like the idea as soon as he signs it, a small sigh gusting from his lips. No, it would be better to stick together rather than split up, especially given her injury.
Because beyond the injury, there does seem to be something else going on. Pinning Desinii with a look, he tilts his head to the side in a silent question before he signs. Thumb taps his chin, fingers splayed wide. << Mothers? >>

Your parents were worried, he knows he should technically tell her first. That was, ostensibly, the reason he'd been sent out to look for her--because he promised he could find her, but also refused to tell Desinii's parents where she was. As much as he wanted to make sure her parents actually trusted him to do the job, Link valued Desinii's trust more.
Huffing a small laugh as he settled down next to her, the smile still danced on his lips even as he listened to her complaining about her parents. He'd changed out of his knight gear almost as soon as he reached the deserts. The heat had long become too oppressive for chain mail, and what the armor meant became all the more oppressive.
Fingers pinched sharply together before his hand curled into a ring, moving away from his chest. Pointer and middle fingers pin together on both hands before his left hand brushed on top of his right. << No, nothing short. >> He replied, expression growing more sober as he studied his friend's face. It'd been a long time since he'd her, basically as long since he'd been back to the desert.
Wincing at the explanation, he curled his hand into a fist, rubbing it in a circle over his chest. << I'm sorry. >> And he gnawed at his lip, he pointed at Desinii, before both fists roll forward. Both pointer fingers then arched away, pointing to the distant Gerudo City. Loose hand started by his temple before tugging away, fingers pinching together. With that pinched left hand, he tapped at his lips then his cheek. Finally he settled his left fisted hand on his right flat palm, left thumb sticking out, before he lifted both in the air. << You could try going to Gerudo City? Getting away from home might help? >>

Urbosa knew quite a few things, even at her young age. Politics were always messy, regardless of whether they were being fought over land to settle, water to drink, or funding for archeological expeditions. She also knew that one would need look no further than the academy to find the most fervent, dedicated women to their craft, and if any warrior took the same approach as most historians, they would be a general in a year.
And lastly, she knew that trying to stymie that dedication was dangerous to the proposed historian at worst, and always foolish towards the tribe overall. No harm was wrought in the long-term by bringing up knowledge of the past, even if it seemed to wound in the moment. The university was part of her lineage's legacy, and she'd be damned to let it linger in malaise under her reign.
This would no doubt ruffle some feathers, but frankly, this was the most interesting project to come from her historians in some time, and really, her family was more than wealthy enough independently of the state to worry about it.
"Do you still have the proposal? And how much the bottom line would be, with cushioning?"
What’s the lie your character says most often? 👀
Most likely? "I'm fine. This is fine. It's fine."

"it'd be one thing if it wasn't documented, Desinii. I have no fewer than fourteen missing citizens' reports in the last three months, and that's to say nothing of the travelers."
Try as they might to protect those visitors that came to the desert, it was a known fact that there would always be a few casualties and disappearances. The Gerudo did what they could, but they weren't miracle workers. However, when Gerudo started to go missing, well... That was usually more cause for alarm. Those who grew up in the desert generally knew better, both in that they could prepare for outings better, and that they were typically smart enough not to leave on their own.
"Those were all disappearances that were not solved in a week, and were officially reported to the capital. Do you know how often we usually receive reports from this sector?" Ah, the Gerudo army's love for documentation... "Once a quarter, if we're lucky. Measuring the water table is a nightmare out here, nobody ever sends numbers..." She muttered, answering herself and very nearly getting in an argument with herself before she could move on.
"That aside! Something is going on here. Could be a grup outbreak, heatsickness presenting strangely, a new breed of monster popped up, but something is happening. And you're going to try to get the local's opinion of it while we're here, while I work with the elders. You can continue your expedition during the day, but I want you to be careful at night. Is that acceptable?"
