DEATHBLOOMS
The spirits of the departed from the grand acre; the deathbloom are ghosts, torn from their bodies in death and twisting into monstrous creatures who exist solely to join the recently saved back into the cold arms of permanent death. They appear to those who have seen much death, constantly dripping in tar, with a potent smell of dust and grime; when they appear, those who can sense them feel nothing but dread and exhaustion. The Deathbloom, fitting their name, grow from portals of decay where the recently saved would have faced their demise and may only be banished from the grand acre by The Tree. Known for their appetite for the elemental energy that the world thrives on, The deathbloom are a danger not only to primals but to The Nest as a whole. The many dark corners of the world where the energy has been sucked dry have these creatures to blame.
