people online discourse abt ppl who have never dated in the most bizarre ways wdym you genuinely think that lacking this specific experience irreparably damages and stunts you?? it's not a rare experience to have never dated. there are sizeable communities of people who talk about it. "oh but you need to experience the rejection and figure out what you want" do you think people who haven't experienced romance themselves don't have eyes and ears and brains and also OTHER interpersonal relationships outside of just dating lmao

some of these serial daters are comically bad interpersonally and can't handle rejection for shit but arbitrarily they're in a category above me solely because they've dated people. i wish amatonormativity wasnt a term the general population still laughed at cause i neeeed u ppl to examine yourselves

You have time to develop emotional regulation without relationship stressors.

There is less external validation shaping your self-worth. You can develop strong internal validation.

You have more free time and can focus more on hobbies and passions.

You have the freedom to structure your daily routines exactly how you like it.

You have the opportunity to cultivate diverse friendships without prioritizing a romantic partner.

You have more time for education or career development.

You have the ability to observe relationships objectively before entering one.

You have the opportunity to enter a future relationship with strong self-awareness and intentionality.

You experience less relationship trauma.
