I love opening my door to jeep parts!
Test fitting Reba's new bumper before I paint it!
I know I just posted pictures of this thing but damn look at that before and after.
Learning to drive
I'm currently into the delightful process of teaching my daughter how to drive. (God has to enjoy watching this part of parenthood.) It's amazing how each child is different when learning how to handle a vehicle. (Though my youngest is the scariest driver right now I think she might end up the best of my children when all is said and done.) Basic rules I told my little lady. If you drive too fast, you'll wreck the front of your car; if you drive too slow, you'll wreck the back of it. Now for myself growing up in the country had its advantages. You first learn how to drive by being behind the wheel of the hay truck in the fields. Worst that could happen you spill a load of hay and have to help reload it.(I also learned in a hay truck how to put out a fire on a vehicle with a shaken up bottle of Coke. I have to give credit to my old school friend Mike Teague for that.) My son is a fine driver but thought he knew it all before he got his license. My daughter right now has an attraction to light poles, street signs, and dumpsters. She wants to go at those like bumper cars. (Thank you, Henry Ford, for automatic transmissions.) I explained to her "Those objects are not to hit with the car." I might have to keep extra road flares and a bumper in the trunk for her. So far none of my children have passed their drivers test on the first attempt. My son might have if not for the blizzard conditions the day of his road test. Learning to drive is right up there with your first kiss for things we will always remember. I do find it amazing how right after your kid gets there license they are so quick to volunteer to run errands in the car for you. My daughter has a ways to go before she'll go for her license. I explained to her yesterday how she shouldn't drive faster then she can think. Also, don't use the horn unless you have to and slow down when pedestrians are around. My daughter said; "So you don't hurt someone right?" I told her she was correct, but I do know those who would say they slow down around pedestrians because they don't want to damage their car. A driver needs to be more alert than ever these days. With people talking and texting while behind the wheel, I now look both ways when crossing a one-way street.
I don't give a fuck how much money you just paid for your damn rice burner, you ran into me. Therefore you're gonna spend twice as much for my truck. Thaaaaaaaaaaaanks, I've been needin a new bumper.
