Protection spell for Grimoire

This is my first spell, and I hope I did it right. I took a little inspiration from a post on amino. I didn’t use that one because it seemed very harsh and I didn’t really feel too good about using it. Anyways, here it goes:

Protect this book from prying eyes

And from unwanted attention.

May misfortune fall to those

Who were not given permission

And wrongfully snooped.

For this book is sacred 

And not for others to disturb.

I charged this spell by imagining the misfortune that would fall and then said it out loud. 

If any more experienced witches could give me any pointers, I will take them.

My book!! Look at it!!

The FedEx guy just rang the doorbell -- finally got them to go to the front door and not the back -- and it is here~!

It came looking like a hot mess, but beneath all that fugly there was~

BEAUTY!

This book is just so much more amazing than I was expecting! It's the perfect size to take with me wherever I go. It has so many thick, beautiful pages. The binding is done just so, so well. It looks so pretty yet discreet! Like no one's going to see me working in this and go: hmm, she a witch.

I plan on going to the little shop I like and finding some charms to attach to the ribbons because I saw the Sacred Seed on Youtube do that with hers and I think it is just a wonderful and creative way to further personalize and charge your book.

But isn't he so pretty? My handsome little baby. I'm going to think of a good, solid name for this guy today and give him some protection sigils and blessings and all that good stuffs.

I'm debating whether I want this book to be solely a Grimoire now that it's physically in my hands, or if instead of keeping the Grimoire and Book of Shadows portions separate I just mush them together as I go. I don't know. Now that it's physically in front of me, I just want to write everything I know and have done and make it mine.

Agh but anyway that's enough gushing from me! I'm gonna make some coffee and get writing in this bad boy!

I finally got something to write down my spells and stuff in! Say hello to my first ever grimoire!! I got this little treasure at my local Wal-Mart, it was a steal.

If you have a new grimiore and you’re having trouble actually writing in it, you’re not alone. I’ve had them in the past and struggled writing that first page, so here are two tips: 1: begin with a quote that resonates with you. Write it and concentrate on how it relates to your craft. 2: designate a pen or writing tool to write in it, I chose a fountain pen because…well, my writing is crap and this makes it look better or at least more mysterious and also, it’s more magical to me.

I decided to start a physical grimoire today. Naturally the first step was to find a book suitable for what I wanted. And because I'm impatient and crafty, I decided to make my own. So here it is. I used a coptic stitch binding and 9x12 sketch book paper. (Although I may end up re-binding it...) I'm super excited to start filling it in and making it beautiful!!
