Devil May Cry's Goddess of Time

Thinking about how it's just sortof accepted that there is a lion-headed omniscient god of time and space who distributes character upgrades? What's up with that?

Some pieces of information that I find relevant:

There is a Divinity Statue of the goddess of time located at a shrine within the grounds of Sparda's estate (DMC 5)

Sparda sacrificed a human priestess to seal the portal to the demon world at the Temen-ni-gru (DMC 3). There's only one identified goddess who holds authority in the setting, so she would have been a priestess of the Goddess of Time.

What I mean by the above is that there are no "angels" or reliance upon Judeo-Christian divinity in the DMC setting - anything that appears angelic is just a demon (DMC 4). The idea that "holy water" damages demons as established in DMC 1 could very well be an idea syncretized with the Shinto concept that running water and waterfalls are sacred and used for spiritual purification. Holy water is also an item purchased from the Goddess of Time, so it's pretty direct about which divinity it comes from.

The Yamato is also identified as a thing that seals the connection between the human and demon worlds (DMC 4). (Edit: and the Japanese for Vergil's "Void Slash" attack with the Yamato literally translates to "time-space fury flash" (DMC 5))

The Yamato represents the part of Sparda's power that "was named to embody a god of death" (DMC 5). Despite being phonetically pronounced as 'Yamato', it is known that "The Yamato's Japanese name is written as 'Enma Katana' (閻魔刀 Enmatō), referring to the Japanese name for the Hindu and Buddhist judge of the afterlife, 'Yama'" - wiki.

The goddess of time holds an hourglass, and outrunning the hourglass is connected to the idea of escaping samsara - the cycle of life, death, and rebirth (DMC 3, Mission 19)

So there's this famous text in Hinduism called the "Bhagavad Gita" that dates to the first or second century BCE. In the English language it is the origin of the Oppenheimer quote: "Now I am become death, destroyer of worlds", which is misrepresenting verse 11.32. The actual translation is something closer to "now I have become world-destroying time". As I understand it, the concepts of "time" and "death" are intertwined in a belief system based on reincarnation and cyclical history in such a way as to cause confusion with interpretation of the meaning when translated.

My impression of how this applies to Devil May Cry (at least as of the worldbuilding codified by DMC 3): Sparda bargained with the Goddess of Time for the power to separate the human and demon worlds. What Sparda got out of the bargain is embodied in the Yamato. And what the Goddess of Time got from the bargain is that Sparda and all of his descendants are obligated to deliver to her demon blood and are bound to the cycle of life-death-rebirth (i.e. the videogame mechanic of being able to re-try a level over and over again) until she decides to release them into death.

Oh lord … I’m obsessed with them as parents, so it’s not a hardship at all

I want to go back to the start though, to how this family started.

They’ve been together for a few months when they have their first talk about having kids. Buck was babysitting Jee and took her to Tommy’s place since he has a garden and Tommy can’t stop thinking about it for days afterward. Buck in his garden with a kid. The sight was just so good, the way they played and ran around together.

Tommy can’t stop thinking about it. And it’s not the first time he thinks about it, to be honest. He loved to see Buck talking and helping Christopher with his homework and anything, really. Spending the day all three of them at a museum or park while Eddie can spend time with Marisol or for himself.

Tommy actually loves to make a date of anytime they have to babysit the kids, taking them all outside, parks, museums, theme parks, beach, you name it, and Tommy took them there.

So while they cuddle one day, he just asks if Buck ever thought about having his own one day.

And Buck turns around to look at Tommy, because he feels that as innocent as the question is, it is a sign of their growth as a couple, of Tommy thinking long term and he has to face the man for it.

Buck, who talks about how he felt when he held the baby, that he helped to conceive, for a few minutes and how his life just came to a halt. How seeing Jee for the first time on her mom’s chest had his heart squeezed.

He always assumed that his life would fall in line, the wife, the house, the kids.

But if he let the wife cliche go, he still thinks that he’d like the rest. The house, the kids.

And what he doesn’t say, the husband.

Tommy just hugs him tighter and confesses that when he came out, letting go of the potential of having kids was the hardest part, but that with how the world change he wanted to believe in it again.

It absolutely unlocks something between them, this talk of the future, of a future together and of shared dream.

That’s why when two years later, after their wedding, after their new house, Hen and Karen go to them when they had a call for a little boy. A three months old. The child is orphaned, no dad or grandparents filed anywhere, and no one is still alive on his mother's side.

They already had three foster kids, in addition to Denny so having a fifth child in the house would be a challenge, one that they would embrace but when the worker asked them if they had people in mind that would take the boy they thought of Buck and Tommy.

The boys who look at each other, hands clasping together while Karen shows pictures of a small blond boy bundled up in a green blanket.

Buck is the one who asks, “what do we have to do?” and by the squeezing he feels around his fingers from Tommy, it was the right thing to say.

Thanks to Karen and Hen having been exemplary in all the years of them taking kids in, and because it’s a baby, the process is sped up. Not that it’s fast or easy.

Just after the visit, Buck goes on a cleaning spree, pulling out a clipboard and going full Clipboard!Buck on himself and Tommy. The house has never been this clean since they moved in.

The garden is mowed, plants and trees are pruned.

Tommy has even been sent on the roof to clean it and he did with a smile, seeing how serious and excited Buck was, making himself even more excited for this new adventure with his husband.

When they go back to their respective stations after their two days off, each of them gather letters of recommendation and characters from their teams, which also announce to them all that they want to welcome that baby boy in their house.

It takes them a week to have the house ready and their letters from everyone, filling their foster parents’ file with the help of Hen and Karen.

Buck vibrating out of his skin each night while they cuddle, and Tommy doesn’t count how many times he caught Buck on baby clothes websites, but he’s just as bad as him. Having screenshoted so many cute onesies, his ads are now only baby formula and toys.

It takes them one more week before they get a call back from the agency for a first visit of their house and an interview.

They have to wait for three days for a feedback of that visit. Buck is a wreck and Tommy had been asked to stay grounded with how distracted he’s been.

Finally, they get a call for a second visit at their house with two workers this time. The questions are more in-depth.

A few days letter they have a call from Bobby saying that they had a call from the agency to talk about Buck and Tommy. And a day later, Lucy calls them with the same news. Quickly enough, Maddie and Tommy’s brother were called as well.

It takes them one more month, random visits and calls before they get the call.

They can take Noah home starting four days from now.

Buck pulls the clipboard out again, but this time he enrolls everyone.

Maddie and Chimney are sent to the shop to get the formula and diapers, mountains of each.

Tommy and Eddie are painting the guest room, Noah’s room. They agreed on a soft forest green for the walls, and blue for the ceiling with small white clouds.

Buck has Pinterest boards, ok? And he’s going to make this room the best room for a child.

May and Denny went to the shop to pick up plushies and games.

Buck is finally ordering all the onesies he and Tommy saw online and baby proofing the whole house: one cupboard, one drawer, one window at a time.

Bobby making food for them all and helping where he can.

One week later, the social worker come to their house. They’re alone. They wanted to welcome him, just them. Noah will be presented on Sunday to the whole family, but now it’s Thursday and the next 3 days are theirs, and only theirs.

Buck is the one to open the door, his breathing stuttering and his blood pumping in his ears, until he fully opens the door and his eyes fall on the car seat where Noah sleeps and everything quiet down.

He hasn’t felt this calm and quiet since his and Tommy’s first kiss, but after all, his world is changing again today and shouldn’t it warrant the same reaction?

The worker enters and does a last inspection, more a formality than anything else, but it could still mean that she’d leave with Noah.

She goes around the house and leave Noah in his seat in their living room where Buck and Tommy can’t stop looking at his sleeping form.

Finally, she comes back from her inspection and sees how they are hugging and looking at the seat and she can see how excited they are, how much they already love the little boy.

“Do you want to take him?” she asks, and Buck looks at her with watery eyes and nods.

She goes to the seat to free Noah from it and carry him toward Buck’s, who’s himself held by Tommy, and she very gently places Noah in his arms.

Tommy and him looks down at the boy. They know that for now it’s only a temporary placement, that anything could happen. But Noah is in their arms now and they couldn’t feel happier or more complete.

Queued Post: Thought I'd share some updated headcanons and character lore for Lily. Please let me know what you think! :)

A Little Hope (The Past):

Isobel and Tyler's Cousin.

Age: 11.

• Lily is a deeply kind, inquisitive and steadfast little girl who has a huge, pure heart. As the youngest of the group, being eleven years old, she is the most naïve but she is also the most in touch with wonder and the ability to believe in goodness and righteousness.

She loves stuffed animals, such as teddy bears, and she shows an interest in drawing. Though, her dream occupation is to be a novelist as she wants to follow in her cousin, Isobel's footsteps.

• She has a very special, tender relationship with Isobel and their cousin, Tyler. She is fiercely loyal to them and their mutual dynamic is reminiscent of an older, responsible sister (Isobel) who has to keep the two pranksters (Lily and Tyler) in check.

Although the three absolutely adore each other, Isobel can sometimes find herself occupied elsewhere and that leaves Lily with Tyler. So because of this, one could argue that she feels more closer to him.

She finds that she's able to talk to him more and she feels more comfortable around him. He cares tremendously for her as well, and he always includes her in group activities with the boys whenever Isobel isn't around.

But that's not to say the two girls dislike each other. They have their own activities together and Isobel is a model of inspiration for Lily. She really looks up to her.  

• Out of the group, Lily has very close relationships with Josh, Chris, Sam, Hannah and Beth. I would describe her as a little sister whom they're all fiercely protective of. Her huge, cheerful smile and her kindness just brings them joy and they're always so excited when Isobel or Tyler bring her along.

She doesn't talk to Matt and Ashley very much, but she's still polite enough. They're on friendly terms, at least.

She also feels sympathetic for Matt after seeing how badly Emily treats him, as evident by her attempts to help him carry her bags up to the lodge.

Here's some dialogue between them:

Lily: "Why won’t Emily carry these up herself?"

Matt: "Your guess is as good as mine,"

Speaking of, she secretly dislikes Emily, Mike and Jess for their personalities and more importantly, for orchestrating the prank against Hannah. She does try to be polite whenever they chat, but a conversation in itself is rare.

Lily also wishes that most of the young adults around her were more compassionate and empathetic, so she tries to make up for that by helping people whenever she can. This black and white mindset is because of how cruel the prank was.

• Lily is against the prank and unlike Isobel and Sam, she is able to stop Hannah before she walks into the guest room where Mike is. The little girl warns her about what'll happen and she frantically pleads with her not to fall for it.

Emily: "I'm gonna kill that fucking brat! She ruined everything!"

Jess: "Sshh, let's just wait and see what Hannah does,"

Whilst Hannah is suspicious, her naivety and her feelings for Mike are what motivate her to walk in anyway, ultimately refusing to listen. Lily is incensed and in a state of panic, she runs off to find Tyler and Beth.

Hannah: "Um, Mike? Lily just told me that this is all--! Just a prank. Like, everyone is in here with you to humiliate me. Is that true?"

Mike: "What?! No, of course not! You know what kids are like with their imaginations. She's just overreacting,"

This is what sets the story off. Once an embarrassed Hannah runs out into the woods, Lily immediately follows her with Tyler and Beth not far behind. Soon, the four of them are tragically separated from each other when the Washington twins are cornered and fall off a cliff.

Tyler and Lily are the only ones who arrive safely back at the lodge.

• During the time-gap between The Prank and the main game, Lily decides to start training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. This allows her to use her small size as an advantage in taking down larger opponents and what happened to Hannah and Beth is the catalyst for her decision here. She wants to feel more able to help others in need.

• She shows reluctance in returning to Blackwood Mountain after the prologue, but she only goes because she was led to believe that Josh wanted to honour Hannah and Beth.

She and Tyler mostly appear in Chris and Ashley's playable segments. They join them in participating in the seance and they witness Josh's "death" at the Psycho's hands.

Lily then appears in Sam's chase scene and she very bravely holds The Psycho off, giving him everything she's got during their fight. As a result, he terrorises her and he inflicts grievous bodily harm upon her in a fit of fury.

He records her, bloodied and beaten, tied up in a chair as punishment for not doing more to help Hannah and Beth. He also forcibly steals her first kiss for himself before he moves her in front of Tyler, Chris and Ashley to force her to watch her cousin’s “suicide”.

When he reveals his identity as a crazed Josh, a sickened Lily reacts by vomiting all over the floor out of sheer disgust.

Josh: "Lilo, that's my floor. Clean that shit up!" 😒

Lily: "FUCK YOU!!!" 🤮😭🤬😤

Josh: "Whoa, naughty language there! Who taught you that?" 🤣

What the little girl doesn't know is that Josh believes he tied Isobel up in order to keep her safe and that "their kiss" was his way of apologising for his actions.

But plot twist, it wasn't.

This reveal occurs after Mike knocks him unconscious because once Lily is untied, she viscously attacks Josh in a blind rage. She repeatedly kicks him in the ribs and throws a TV in his face, screaming at him.

• I'm not quite sure what could happen after Josh is tied up in the shed? But here's what I can think of so far:

After Josh's Reveal, I think the trauma would have taken it's toll on Lily and as a result, she becomes dangerously ill.

There's a surprising scene between her and Emily where they confide in each other about their traumatic experiences. From there, their interactions develop into a more positive dynamic.

Lily's dynamic with Mike develops into a positive one, as well. He becomes fiercely protective of her and her safety is one of the reasons why he locks Josh up in the shed.

She becomes more solemn and despondent in the Wendigo storyline. But that doesn't stop her from doing what she believes is right, because she demonstrates remarkable courage in various situations.

Not only that, but she also showcases both her compassionate nature and a capacity for forgiveness. This is evident when she stands up for Emily after her bite is discovered by the group.

If anyone has any ideas or thoughts they'd like to share, please do. Because I'd really like to hear them.

Autism Headcanons:

1. Lily is a quiet young girl who is awkward in her own skin and unable to make eye contact. She would rather be on the outside of a group, even though she does enjoy social interaction.

What stops her from initiating a conversation however is her anxiety. She's frightened of saying the wrong thing and upsetting someone. She also finds it stressful to be on the outside of a group.

If she feel stressed or anxious, she struggles to communicate her feelings with others. She'll feel frustrated if anyone outside her family don’t understand her differences.

2. Anybody outside Lily's family would say that she is repetitive with regards to interests. She talks an awful lot about them and sometimes, they can be all consuming. She is unable to see past them when she has other things that need doing.

She'll cite video games and her creative activities as two examples. She can be obsessed by these and it is where she feels comfortable.

3. She experiences difficulty in asserting herself and she often relies on others to guide her or speak for her.

4. She observes how her peers behave in a social setting and she emulates them so that she's able to fit in.

5. She has a special interest in animals, art and literature, as well as a strong imagination that she sometimes uses to escape into the worlds of nature or fiction. This is one of her coping mechanisms following experiences of being bullied due to a lack of understanding of her autism. As a result, she struggles with self-conscious feelings of being insecure and inept, as if she is awkward and clumsy.

6. Lily likes to have a routine set in place for her daily life, such as what she'll be doing each day, what studies she needs to focus on, et cetera. And she finds changes to her life very difficult to cope with.

Should any changes occur, she will feel distressed because she doesn't understand why these changes are put in place. She's found that they disrupt her routine, even if they’re positive.

Habits, Weaknesses and Ticks:

Lily has developed a habit of wringing her hands together and picking her nails, often picking at the skin around the latter. Her other habits include twitching, scratching herself, touching her face and rubbing sleepy dust or lashes out of her eyes.

On a personal level, she is poorly skilled at taking care of herself because whenever she showers, she struggles to wash her hair and she subsequently has to contend with knots and frizziness. She rarely shaves her legs because of a prior incident where she accidentally cut herself and lost quite a bit of blood. This contributes to her struggles with her self-image and her body.

Additionally, she becomes sick if she's in the shower for a long time and this is something she's worried about, hence her poor skills.

The young woman suffers from bilateral hearing loss in her right ear. She has impaired gross motor skills and because of this, she lacks physical strength in her hands.

An issue with her thyroid prevents her from losing weight and causes her hair to thin out at the front. She also has to contend with excessive facial hair on her chin.

Trauma:

Lily has dissociative amnesia, a memory loss defense mechanism that protects her from confronting painful or disturbing memories. She suffers from flashbacks, nightmares and feelings of anxiety, all symptoms of PTSD.

Because of this, she can't remember anything about her childhood. She has blocked out most of her teenage years and she is very reluctant to acknowledge her trauma properly. The reasons for this are ambiguous but a fear of revisiting her feelings could be likely.

Lily isn't called to the town of Little Hope because she deserves to be punished, she’s there because she believes she deserves to be punished. Not just for Hannah and Beth, but for her own abuse.

In order to escape the town, she needs to overcome the idea that she deserves to die. She needs to learn that death isn't the answer because she has so much life to live and she's worth everything. She deserves love for being herself.

A Little Hope (The Present):

Andrew's Best Friend.

Age: 17.

• Lily is a deeply empathetic, kind and thoughtful young woman who has a huge, pure heart. But in return, she struggles with anxiety, dissociative amnesia and PTSD. And as someone with social anxiety, she’s very attuned to the stories and feelings of others.

Despite this, she does have an unwavering set of morals and a strong sense of justice. She avoids harm where possible, only seeking to attack people in self-defense or to defend those she loves. Her desire to help others comes into play later when the group are in conflict over controlling Mary’s fate.

She also has a witty sense of humor, the latter of which she uses to cheer people up or to taunt those she dislikes. One such rival is Angela, an older woman whom is jealous of her youth, beauty and kind innocence.

Angela (to John): "You want to put us on a kids' line?"

Lily: *turns round to stare at her. Inspo: see GIF below.*

• In an earlier scene, Lily will sarcastically remark, "What is this, the Dick-scovery Channel?" when Angela tries to pick a fight with Taylor.

Angela's Response? = "I beg your pardon?"

Lily: "Did I stutter? Please, just--! Stop ganging up on Taylor, okay? She hasn't done anything wrong,"

• She proves herself to be quite resourceful and intelligent during the game. She'll use whatever tool she can find to her advantage and if she has a firearm, she'll shoot monsters in the knee cap to render them immobile before they're killed.

She vaguely remembers being taught that by someone, but she can't figure out who. But plot twist, it was Mike.

• Lily has a passionate love for creative writing, having picked it up from Isobel. She finds it to be a gratifying experience of sorts, because it helps her make art out of everyday, ordinary moments. It's an escape for her and it assists her in getting her thoughts and frustrations out.

• Alongside writing, Lily is a keen artist. She is visually-minded and she likes that art can assist in expressing emotions, along with exploring the depths of one's imagination. It's another way for her to be creative, and she's found that sharing her work can allow her to connect with others.

• One of Lily's favourite animals is the butterfly and I think she's picked that up from Hannah. She doesn't know the reason why initially, but there's just... something about them that interests her.

• I think Lily's love language is related to small gestures. She'll check in on someone to see if they're okay and ask them if she can help them with anything. There's also subtle words of affirmation such as when she tells Daniel, "Oh thank god! I'm so happy to see you!" after she gets pulled into a frightening flashback on her own.

Because of her autism, she has strong reactions to touch. She only ever allows the people she feels most comfortable with to enter her personal space and be affectionate. And she only ever initiates physical affection with those people. Nobody else.

So, for her to allow someone to initiate physical contact and affection with her? That is big! It really shows how much she trusts and cherishes that individual.

One significant scene occurs in the finale when she leaves a voicemail message for Daniel. This is a huge step forward in her character growth, because she’s really pouring her heart out and allowing herself to properly acknowledge her past.

• In the present-day storyline, it's confirmed that Tyler has survived until dawn because he lives in Maine as a video gamer who has a platform on Twitch. Lily figures this out online and she's really happy to see that he's doing well.

After she leaves Daniel a voicemail message telling him what happened on Blackwood and that she loves him, Lily feels reluctant to reach out to Tyler because she doesn't want to re-traumatise him. She feels guilty at the thought of dragging him into the mess - but then again, she knows he's the closest family who could help.

So, she reaches out to him on Messenger:

Hi Tyler,

Please forgive me if any of this sounds weird. I imagine it might be a bit of a shock and... quite rightly so. I mean, I know we haven't spoken in years. And in all honesty, I'm not quite sure what to expect. I hope it's okay for me to reach out to you?

I don't think I have much of a way with words, though. And--! And I don’t know if this message will get through, because--! My class and I, we're...! We're in quite a predicament right now...!

We were supposed to go to Salem for our class trip but because of an accident ahead, we had to pass through Little Hope. One bus crash later, and--! We're trapped here, essentially...! I'm so sorry to ask this, we really need help!

We're experiencing something which is very reminiscent of what happened on Blackwood Mountain...! It's made me remember that night vividly and--! I'd like to think that I've found my fight again but I, I don’t think I'm going to make it...!

By the time you see this, I'll be gone.

I love you. And I'm so sorry.

Tyler is streaming with Chris and Ashley by the time her message comes through. Once he realises what's happening, he informs them before leaving to drive to Little Hope.

• Throughout her journey, Lily will learn that whilst humans do have a capability for horrific evil, they also have the capability to display more positive characteristics like empathy and sensitivity.

After she remembers her past, someone could teach her that Hannah wasn't entirely innocent. She was actively doing everything she could to spend time with Mike and get him to like her.

Then, the prank happens. Hannah thinks Mike wants to cheat on Emily with her, and she doesn't think twice. Both parties are at fault, by the way. The prank itself is not a mature and responsible reaction and she didn’t deserve to be humiliated, but she DID have it coming.

The fact that Hannah ran out into the woods, expecting Mike to follow her because of the compatibility test is just... 😤🤦‍♀️

After she learns this, an unimpressed Lily will reference Chris by saying, "I mean, to quote a very wise man," *mic drop* "Boom! Butterfly Effect,"

She is also taught that Josh was troubled even before Hannah and Beth's deaths. He had a very close relationship with her when she was little and yet, he still managed to hide an integral part of himself from her.

She is given the whole story behind Josh's struggles with his mental health and she learns that he was consistently misdiagnosed. He suffered tremendously for it and what's her first instinct? It's to think of his feelings and how terrible it must have felt to be so isolated.

Lily: "I can't--! I don’t know what to say at the moment. I don't know what to think..."

• I think one of the reasons why Lily slowly grows adamant to condemn Carver is because she's projecting her childhood fear of Josh onto him. She also sees her younger self in Mary, which could explain why she feels concerned about her.

John: "Why do you care about that kid? She's evil! We have to kill her!"

Lily: "You can’t kill someone who's already dead,"

John: "What?"

Lily: "She's already dead. Wish Granted. And to answer your question, I--! For some reason, I feel like it's up to me to protect her. I don't know why,"

After Lily is able to remember her past, she realises what her reason for wanting to protect Mary is:

She believes that if she condemns Carver; she'll not only save an innocent little girl, but she'll also take back her autonomy from Josh. 🥺💔

• As it turns out, condemning Carver doesn't give Lily her autonomy like she thought it would. She still feels like she's that same little girl who's trapped on Blackwood Mountain and her feelings only worsen when she's confronted by a monster far too close to home for her.

This monster is Lily's Abstract Demon. A grotesque humanoid creature which bears a resemblance to Joshua Washington, albeit if he had turned into a Wendigo.

It is a visual representation of the traumatic incident in which a bloodied, beaten Lily was tied up in a chair and forcibly kissed. It chases her at frightened speeds in a claustrophobic and suffocating basement of a lodge, reminding her of the night she spent on Blackwood Mountain.

The fight that Lily has with this monster is a PTSD breakdown. Plain and simple. It represents the powerlessness, the shame and the humiliation that she feels. After she convinces Abraham to condemn Carver, she is brought back to the Ruined House where she is left in shock over what transpired. But soon enough, a little girl's scream catches her attention.

What she finds a manifestation of her eleven year-old self, traumatised, bruised and terrified of "him". The monster she's referring to then strikes out, turning it's attention to the present-day Lily. When it does, it screams so loudly that it shakes the room and stuns her in the process.

The subsequent fight is very long, grim and violent, causing great stress to Lily and leaving her with grievous, bloody injuries. But by killing "him", she saves the little girl who is essentially her. She's saving herself.

• During the fight, Lily will have to smash various televisions in order to progress. Each time she does, the house will break apart to reveal enormous steel pistons and walls of fresh human skin that throb and pulsate.

The TVs play audio of Josh Washington speaking to Lily's younger self discordantly. They are as follows:

First TV: "Why won’t you look at me? Do I disgust you? Do I make you sick?! I've helped take care of you for all these years... and this is how you repay me?! You won't even look at me! What I DID?! LOOK AT ME!"

Second TV: "No one wants you! NO ONE, cares! You're making me do this! This is all your fault! I want what's best for you, Lily! I know what you are!"

Third TV: "You're hurting me! STOP IT!"

At a pivotal moment, Lily will start to hear the distorted voices of her professor and classmates, much to her shock. Their lines are as follows:

Melody: "Lily, we're here! You're not alone, okay? Keep fighting!"

Conrad: "Come on Lilo, show him what you've got!"

John: "You got this, kid. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive us when this is over. We are all truly sorry,"

Angela: "You can't blame yourself for any of this. He's the one at fault here, not you,"

Taylor: "Fucking kill him, Ellie! Show him he doesn't have the power! You've got it!"

Andrew: "We're all here for you, okay? Don't ever forget that,"

Daniel: "I'm here for you, Ellie. I could never hate you, I love you so much,"

Their words of affirmation leave her very emotional and appreciative. They encourage her to keep fighting, screaming and shouting as much as she has to.

Eventually, the lodge's whole facade crumbles and Lily is left to finish the monster off in a giant warehouse made of flesh, blood and fire. It's a very heartbreaking and visceral moment here.

But yeah, as tragic as it is, she has to be commended for her bravery and her emotional strength.

• By defeating her demons, she has asserted control over herself and taken back her autonomy - though it is clear that tragically, her journey is the final push into adulthood. She’s on her own now, but she knows she still has people who love her.

I'm not quite sure what could happen in the ending, specifically? Though, here are some ideas at the moment:

• Lily is among those who manage to survive the night but because of her severe injuries, she spends three weeks at St. Jerome's Hospital where she is encouraged to write letters to everyone she can remember from Blackwood Mountain.

At first, she shows reluctance because of her trauma and her lack of confidence. But she pushes herself to take the risk. It worked out with Tyler, so what's the harm in trying again? 😄

• On June 8th 2020, she arrives at college after her interview on the Architects of Murder show in a nervous but relatively calm mindset. She sits in the reception and whilst she waits for John to meet her, it's noticeable how much she has changed.

Her past has tragically contributed to the changes that have occurred in her appearance. Severe facial scarring, bruising and swelling, feeling bloated, darker hair, a deeper voice, all of them. These changes show how the detrimental effects of trauma, abuse and stress can cause someone to biologically mature faster and leave permanent scars which remain in adulthood.

It's revealed that she's on medication for anxiety, as evidenced by a bottle falling out of her bag. When she goes to pick it up, she notices a mysterious scar on her left arm bleeding profusely. After she sees it, a voice calls out her name.

But what she doesn't know is that it's the vengeful spirit of Makkapitew.

"Killing” or “escaping from” a wendigo doesn't guarantee your freedom because without the right pre-cautions, it’s spirit will mark you as a target and it will haunt you.

And now that she has remembered everything, she's become a target. The voice she hears is Makkapitew’s way of saying: “You remember me, don't you? I’m still thinking about you,”

So ... A year ago I created my personal design of An Ann n Anny's characters (this is the gender swap version of Ed Edd n Eddy, cartoon series of CN, the gender swap version is owned by @vampiremeerkat visit her profile) HERE IS MY NEW VERSION OF THEM WITH ALSO A FEW OF HEADCANONS.

Anny - Ann - An

Anny Skyler Reese, I love the idea of her growing up that much in height , like 1.90 m /6,2 feet. But I keep imagine that she's still chubby. Of course she has a strong personality, I see her really confident and always having the last word. About her style I took inspection for one of Lizzo's outfits. Always shiny and with all eyes on her and she likes that. HEADCANONS: She is going to a psychologist and she has a parrot as a service animal, sincerely for her having a parrot would be more interesting because they kinda "talk back" so yeah. And still i think that she would have a YouTube channel and she does vlogs and covers of songs. She can play piano and guitar. I also see her for part time job working on a one of the stores in the mall, so Tee can always go to see her and she has to be the calmest she can.

Ann Marianne Pensky, I like the fact that now she is showing her hair, she's getting comfortable with it I like this thing. I think she is the top student of her school and I think she would be the president of some science club or a member of the chess club. She might wearing a classy outfit, like private school uniform aesthetic, I am still thinking that she should wear a skirt that max arrives to her knees it's more practical especially from running away from Laire. HEADCANONS: I think that she would be the first one of all the characters to got a drive license and that she is really good even fixing cars. I still think that she might be a mix of German and American, she probably speaks lot of languages like: german, spanish, french, etc....

An Drommond, I am not so sure of the glasses sincerely, I see her more wearing contacts and probably of different colors. And as Ed she's still the strongest of her group in fact I see her going to the gym like a lot. Things that for sure gave her a lot confident especially during gym class. Her style, I see her been an Otaku so she has a lot of animes' and cartoons' t-shirts. HEADCANONS: An is for sure doing cosplays! And nobody can say the opposite! The fact that she has the all basement as her room is really comfortable and free space. Another thing I am pretty sure about it is that her dad was or still is in the army, that would explain the sentence Ed said in report cards episode of the original serie.
