🌙Top 5 Tips for New/Questioning Kins:

🌟Ask Questions: Most culture is or community blogs are so open to questions about terminology or concepts within the community. Go ask people if you're unsure of something! It's a really good way to form connections & in a community with no official resources, it's best to learn from the people. If they give you bad info, it will almost certainly be corrected by someone in the notes & you can ask multiple blogs/wait for multiple responses to your post to see if answers differ. I am very happy to answer any kin queries people have with any level of complexity - my ask box does not close.

🌟Ignore Discourse: There is so much discourse in kin & related communities about what makes someone valid, which box you fit in, how proper are you at being kin etc etc etc. Ignore it. Learn who you are first, then you can join the debate if you want once you're confident in your own identities & experiences.

🌟Research Kintypes: This doesn't have to be laborious! Therians can look at nature documentaries or read books about their theriotypes. Otherkins have myths, folklore & maybe even urban legends. Or anyone can make a Pinterest board to connect to your kintype visually! Research isn't just so you're knowledgeable, but so you can gain a better understanding of & connection to your identity.

🌟Trust Your Instincts: Kinsidering doesn't have to be super stressful or a massive deep connection. If you are Feeling The Vibe™️, you are probably right! And if you're wrong? There's no problem with that.

🌟Make Friends/Mutuals: Connections are so important in this community. By meeting new people you learn more about others' experiences & also your own. Friends can help you figure yourself out & you can offer the same insight back. Plus mutuals are fun! Connections are fun! Community is fun!

About that new kin…

I think it’s a cat sith! When I have shifts like this I always feel, idk stronger than I am? As if I can control the uncontrollable. And I started to notice that I get these shifts more at night, especially when the moon is out. I feel like I can capture the moons energy if that makes sense :)

In my cat form I’m pretty large, a lot larger than a normal cat, I have red pointed horns and red eyes, I believe I was the cat with leader if that makes sense. And in my human form I was very pale with long black hair and a seductive form. I’m pretty sure I’d entrance men with my body so I could eat. I ate men’s souls… anyway

I also remember that I was a normal cat before. I remember being with my mate, who was a normal cat as well, and we had lived in the roots of trees, like a den made by the roots. I don’t remember much about him but I remember him snapping one night and breaking my neck, killing me instantly. Even tho I was dead I do remember him eating a hole into my chest, and eating my heart. After that I was just dead, laying there, and I remember being lifted into the night air around me, I was floating in mid air just a little below the forest tree line. a voice spoke to me, but I was unable to see the thing speaking. It was telling me something about “King of Cats” and that’s all I remember before waking up in a tree, being huge. I was a cat sith. I also believe that because I was the “King of Cats” or the leader, that I could change forms anytime and not only 9 times.

but yeah :)

I’m unsure how I died as of now, or how I moved to my next life, but I think that was my first life, because it was a longgggg time ago, like medieval times I think
