FUCK IT WE BALL
Last night I FINALLY achieved a 400 pound deadlift!! I PR with 385 and it felt good! Then my gym bro, Bryan, shout-out to him, encouraged me to go higher so I went to 390 and that felt good too! So I said fuck it we ball and attempted 400 for the first time! And it was a struggle for sure but damn it I broke thru the limit and got that weight up and stood there holding it strong for a good while. The emotions began to flow into me and I was overwhelmed with joy! Genuinely happy that night for achieving that... Now 4 full plates (405) doesn't seem that far off now! Gonna attempt 4 plates next month for sure. Now is the time to maintain and keep the form strong! 💪

Appreciating my new PR of 2 deadlifts @ 270, the strength my body gives me, and the pure drama of how I dropped the bar.
Yesterday I was able to deadlift 25 😇
These videos were taken on February 4th 2022. These clips were from my yoke set. The first clip was 465lbs, and I did it for 4 reps. The second clip was 485lbs, and I did that for 2 reps.
On a side note, I now know what sound a bone makes when it breaks.
Holy sun, Batman! I had planned on adding in the 2.5 mile loop around the backside of the neighborhood today since it was clouded when I left, but apparently Mother Nature had different plans. Not even a mile into it and BAM! All the clouds had mysteriously disappeared. Rude, especially with no breeze, but I made it!
Several milestones today! I ran 5 separate minutes straight! Thankfully not all strung together, because I think I’d collapse if I tried that at this point, but I feel so accomplished! I also cut nearly twenty seconds off my best pace! The week of zombies I just started has you take a two minute stretching break (around mile 2 for me), and I’m confident that had that not occurred, I would have had two sub-17 miles on my run today. I think next time I’ll do stretches I can do while walking, just to keep up the pacing.
Time to go fall face first into a pile of ice, or at least a nice cold shower, then cuddle my poor Murphy cat. He ran up behind me as I was throwing a toy earlier and I accidentally hit him. I feel AWFUL and he was so skittish around me when I left so I felt even worse. :(
