So I started working at my new company yesterday and I had this entire schedule planned for myself “sit quietly,do your work, listen to everything the boss has to say and then read the book I had brought with me during my free time”
I had absolutely no plans of talking to anyone, unless it was really necessary. But all my plans failed as soon as ‘my new friend’ sat beside me, She seemed like a really extroverted and loud kind of person. The moment she took her seat she started talking to me and then she introduced herself to the guy sitting beside me. So I introduced myself to him too and then she was talking to the girl on her other side, so that girl introduced herself to me too. And then she goes “You seem like a really shy sort of person” and I go “yeah..” and then what “my new friend” said next literally is the reason why I’m writing this whole monologue, she goes
“No, I don’t think she’s shy. She’s just really introvert, but once we’ll get to know her I know it’ll be impossible to shut her up” Then she turned towards me and said, “Also, I’m a 100% sure you didn’t even see that guy’s face who’s sitting beside you before I entered.Let alone had any plans of talking to him” and then she was laughing and nudging me like we’ve been friends all our life.
And I swear I was so shocked and surprised at her observation,because I literally hadn’t acknowledged the guy who was sitting beside me. I wasn’t even planning to look at him for more than a few seconds.
So I just go “You literally got all that from a hello?”
Then she smiled again and was like, “One of my closest friend is just like you and she’s amazing. So I know exactly the way people like you are.”
She then said, “ I know people like you find me really annoying because I love talking to everyone and getting to know them. But that’s how I am I can’t stay quiet for more than 5 minutes.”
I was like , “ People like you are literally a blessing for someone like me.”
And now two days later, I’ve almost interacted with my entire batch because she literally wouldn’t let me leave her side and hence I had to introduce myself to everyone she interacted with and now I’m part of this huge ass group of almost 15 people just because SHE SAT BESIDE ME.
Fun fact, the random guy seated beside me whom I was planning to not acknowledge at all is someone I’m vibing a lot with.
