hi, im cait!! i used to be pretty active on writeblr as booksnotbookies/emmie but went on hiatus when i started uni. I'll probably make a ~fancy~ intro post soon, but a lot of my old moots are no longer active and I'd love to meet more writeblrs! i love to read pretty much anything (but esp historical/science fiction) so interact with this post so I can find yalls blogs <33

I’m making a game:

The overall idea is an RPG Roguelite.

If you don’t know. A Roguelite is a game where you progress through multiple areas through multiple runs, and you are able to unlock things to help you in future runs. These unlockables could be starting items, collectable items or information.

And an RPG is short for “role play game” where you play through the story as a character, more modern types let you play as your own character with multiple dialogue and play through options. Typically the combat in these games are turn based and the more loved kind have interact able combat that impact the end result (think undertale or paper Mario)

My idea for an RPG Rougelite is pretty simple. You play as a “child” of a witch that is cursed to be stuck in a tree. Your goal is to help your mother by collecting a curse breaking item (CBI) in the royal families castle. You take the item back to your mother by taking the CBI to the beginning to the area and through multiple runs you continue this and bring it to your mother.

There are other ideas for content and side quests, I’m just outlining the idea. Feel free to criticise.

hello. i’m belial, 31, genderqueer (he/him), and while i’m not new to the writeblr community, i lost the login info to my last blog. i kept re-using ocs anyway, so i’m attempting to start over. i love worldbuilding and character development. i’m trying to improve my plot development and hopefully can learn from you guys! i generally like to hover around what i know, which is horror/paranormal with my oc’s own voices, which provides a bit of comic relief. i love exploring the concepts of morality, divinity, and humanity and where they overlap. i recently attempted a foray into futuristic dystopian cyberpunk, and maybe i’ll revisit that in the future (heh), but for now i’ll stick with the present. i only have a couple wips currently, but hopefully some of you may be interested!

for nanowrimo 2021, working on a dystopian horror project about a few young adults who escape a doomsday cult to find themselves in a radioactive nuclear wasteland. they weren't the only survivors, but they were the only survivors protected by the underground bunker.

hi! i’m z and that’s all you really need to know about me. i’ve been taking a small hiatus after a hangup on my nanowrimo novel this year. i’ve found i’m excellent with worldbuilding and character development, but when it comes time for stuff to happen, nope.

the media i consume is probably 98% horror, so that’s what i try to write. sometimes it ends up being a comedy or miscellaneous genre with horror aspects. i’m particularly interested in the following subjects:

divinity, angels, & demons

mythology of all kinds (but mostly greek)

psychology

religion

liminal spaces

morality and its subjectivity

the paranormal

God Exits, an urban fantasy tale of an angel who falls from heaven and has to find a way for God to hear his prayers so he can get his wings back

The Mosaic Children, a horror story centered around children who belong to a secluded cult that sacrifices one child per year to placate their god

333, a horror-comedy/coming-of-age parody about an emo kid growing up as a half-incubus

Rose Wound, an anthology full of characters with peculiar masochistic tendencies
