Faith without works is dead much like prayer without action is moot. You can’t just have faith, you have to perform faith in action - meaning, you can’t just have goals, you also need to execute them. Faith is not for the faint of heart because it requires persistence and endurance. You’re not going to get a promotion at your job by sitting on your ass “putting it into the universe”, you have to SHOW and PROVE that you are worthy of that increase. Manifesting doesn’t happen on the sidelines it happens on the court, feel me? Don’t just WANT it, GO GET IT. And no, it won’t be easy, God asked Abraham to be willing to sacrifice his only son, Jesus got spat on and crucified, so why do you think you’re going to breeze through? The lesson is not just the victory it’s the road to it, that’s that work (catch this Word). You cannot bear fruit from your tree if you do not water it, prune it, harvest it, WORK on it. So it is with your hopes and dreams. Say less. Do more. Show. Don’t tell. #notetoself #faith #works #newmantras #aword #biblestudy #rededication #messagefromyoursponsor https://www.instagram.com/p/Brbt1CPhQ4R/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1r7ackgwke6nw

Dendrite
Today's #dendrite asks: Do you have a mantra that isn't serving you ? Transcending self-made obstacles.
A cawcaw from Norman Lindsay's "The Magic Pudding".
This morning I spent time in my Twitter-world. For the first time, I really looked at how many people have begun following me since I launched the identity of dendria 310 days ago. Wow, it's been almost a year! It was a relaxed moment when I decided to let go of my intimidation. Then I naturally went ahead and began to write thanks and to research each of these people, connecting with them from a heart-centered place.
I often used to think: "It's hard to get followers on Twitter." and "Twitter sucks up too much time!". These are just two of the numerous versions of the negative static I had in my head. Just because you don't say it aloud doesn't mean it's not a mantra! In fact, it was pointed out to me over a year ago when I was attuned to Reiki II by Patti Penn that mantras that trail off, tend to be stronger. It's one thing to say something out loud, sometimes we sound silly even to ourselves; but when the tail-end of a mantra tucks up and in our mind, it can make it hard to keep perspective. The thought and all the energy behind it hooks in like an innocuous burr and, unless it causes discomfort, can just sit with us effecting all we do. A mantra may "only" be an idea that repeats over and over, but it has the power to become an inner law by which one lives.
Careful there! Let's break out as though life is an uplifting 80s movie...! (Make sure to click, you'd be missing out on Robert Webb's Flashdance rendition.) Where are my legwarmers?
I, for one, am enjoying breaking out of the self I've established. When I was on Twitter this morning, I found it invigorating and fun to be part of a community so full of spiritualists, nerds and self-betterers (coined it!) who are just tweeting away. Time to create some new mantras. I'll start with: "Twitter is full of friends!"
The Dendrite has helped me get to this place of change. The kernel for the idea was from the amazing Lindsay Wilson. She has a great way of boiling away the jargon when it comes to social media strategy.
I want to hear about some of your mantras. Spend a little time meditating on what they actually are and then get ready to take the plunge and consciously replace some ye olde stagnation! Post your new mantras in the comments or if you prefer Twitter, hash them with #dendrite!
If you liked this, please be so kind as to like me on Facebook!
New mantras:
"People are inspired by #dendrite " "Everyone loves to read and reply to my Daily Dendrites!"
