So why do I write? Why do I separate myself for hours at a time, to type (random) words on a screen? Because I love it. Because it was there for me when no one else was; it saved me. I write, because I had no way to get through to anyone, after a teacher dropped my grades as low as possible because of my gender. I write because I was never given the chance to express myself freely due to the occupations of they that birthed me. I write, because I was denied the ability to minister to a congregation, not only because of my color, but because the spouse of my superior thought reaching the deaf community through ASL (American Sign Language), inappropriate. Writing never judged me for sulking after these events took place, and it never will. That's why I write, and love it immeasurably; for once, something/one accepts me.
