honestly love hilarie touching on peyton and her sexual nature, and admitting to nathan she’s only had sex with him. like she doesn’t sleep around, she’s really a serial monogamous. she asks jake and lucas to wait for sex in canon (though she does sleep with jake like the very next episode cause jeyton’s chemistry lbr). she’s canonly a serial monogamous dater, like picks a guy and is all about them and when she’s single she’s like... okay hooking up with people here and there and ghosting them. but she really wants something real and that’s what’s important to her, not the sex part. 

with neyton, she wanted sex cause she was young, and around people having sex young, and super into the new boyfriend she got end of sophomore year, and nate was cute and cocky af which made him hot. and then she uses sex as a tool for them to stay together - like that was why they were good together in her head, cause that means it’s meant to be.

so she asks jake to wait cause she’s !!! crazy about him, and then it happens soon anyways cause again, they’re nuts about each other, and also, she’s learned that sex is intimacy from her previous relationship.

but she also asks lucas to wait too when he’s trying to hook up with her in the afternoon in his room. and she keeps giving him excuses to wait and he’s still pushing. and then after they finally do hook up, peyton goes straight worry mode about all the s4 drama and she probably should have waited longer lbr. cause sex is a big deal to her, and a lot of people. especially at that age!! she wasn’t even 18 yet and she just went through the year from hell it was probably too much too soon. keep in mind lucas was sexually active with brooke like right off the bat - whipcream and condoms - so he thinks rushing is perfectly normal cause honestly i think brooke was lucas’ first girlfriend ever. he doesn’t get why peyton, who had sex with her previous two boyfriends won’t just do it with him. 

i also think that brucas had a sexual love language. they were super touchy, all over one another (which i loved) and honestly i think that’s where leyton don’t match up. they weren’t at each other’s speed and it always seemed off. it was never just a click this is our moment, it was this kinda fumbling sort of thing, with the bedroom, and then the party, and then crashed prom. even in s6 they have hiccups. it just seems like they both aren’t the most comfortable with eachother.

y'all. i've stolen my brother in law's hulu account and now i can binge rewatch one tree hill! which means i need me some oth inspired plots and ships! to liven it up a bit and take advantage of the awesome setting, we're also gonna layer in some 'rich kids of instagram' feel. 

these bbs are rising juniors at maidstone prep and (with the exception of the lucas) have more money than they know what to do with because of whatever their families have done, and have known each other since they were smoll. they have been attending the prep school for years, with the exception of the lucas (again) who will be transferring in in the fall on scholarship (and starting practices over the summer!). minus lucas, they have enough money to get into and out of just about anything, and they take advantage of that fact. the three popular kids (carson (the nathan), the brooke, and blaire (the peyton)) have been close for years and flaunt making dumb rich kid decisions and stuff together, while thea (the haley) and the lucas have been separately close for years and are quite a bit more toned down. we aren't planning to stick exact to the oth plot, but would like to keep general personality traits and relationships intact.

carson and the lucas are half brothers, and have always been rivals! their father chose carson and his family, and the lucas grew up in eastleigh with his single mother, who worked hard to make ends meet. the lucas and thea have been bffs for years and have while thea's family places her well into the elite world of maidstone, she’s more comfortable with the lucas, which has only made them closer. blaire and the brooke have a bit of an opposites attract friendship, but a very strong one none the less. they’e been friends since childhood, and can’t imagine that changing any time soon. the lucas has harbored a crush on blaire for years, but has never acted on it. carson and blaire are currently together, and have been in a tumultuous, on-again-off-again relationship for what seems like forever. 

this year, however, everything is going to change. the lucas has always been a talented athlete (basketball) and earned an athletic scholarship to maidstone for the fall term - with the help of a little influence from the rhodes family. the rivalry flares to epic proportions, and the stakes and the drama ramp up. carson will makes it his mission to get close to thea to get at the lucas, but neither count on developing the feels. blaire will finally starts to notice the lucas, and their chemistry is off the charts. what starts with banter leads to ignoring their curiosity about each other, leads to realizing that despite their first impressions, they could be something real. brooke throws her hat in the ring with just about everyone, but eventually starts to grow and mature and find herself, and become and amazing young woman and another confidant for thea.

THE NATHAN SCOTT - carson cole, 16, hayes hrier, played by erin 

big man on campus. arrogant and charismatic. under quite a bit more pressure than he lets on. lucas’ half brother - the prince. currently dating blaire - badly. 

THE LUCAS SCOTT - first last, 16, open fc 

talented underdog. introverted good guy who sometimes gets carried away. has a lot to prove. Lives with his single mother in a modest eastleigh apartment above the cafe she owns. met thea through the cafe  when they were kids and clicked - besties. arson’s half brother - the pauper. crushing on blaire hard. 

THE HALEY JAMES - thea rhodes, 16, kaia gerber, played by kay 

girl next door type. intelligent and clear headed. much more likely to let her emotions get away from her than she lets on. platonic soulmates with lucas, avoids the rest of them. willing to give people more chances than the deserve. 

THE PEYTON SAWYER ‐ blaire last, 16, brec bassinger, reserved for ash 

tortured artist disguised as an it girl. looking for more than this shallow life. definitely damaged. Currently dating carson - badly. best friends with brooke. will start noticing the lucas soon enough. the first to be friendly to thea.

THE BROOKE DAVIS - first last, 16, open face 

stereotypical it girl. shallow, selfish, and promiscuous, but can be sweet and loyal. hasn't found herself yet. has a lot of room to grow. best friends with blaire. eventually very closer to thea.
