What’s the story behind your url? x
Answer below the break because I blather too much.
When I was quite young (gosh I just realized I've been on this site for a little over 10 years) I was enamored by the film Finding Forrester. Actually, I'm still quite fond of the film and even have the exact same typewriter that was in it. Anyway, I wanted to be a good writer like the character and so when I saw that the character Jamal Wallace would carry around several notebooks in his backpack and write any ideas he had, I thought to do the same. So I very soon became known as the crazy kid who would carry around like five or six notebooks where ever I went. Also, around that particular time in my life, I fell in love with the writing style and character/story analysis by @neverwintrians. Her writing style had a huge influence on me and is where I honestly learned how to write character analysis and the other meta on this blog—I still consider her analysis superb and something to aspire to! It’s great! But back to your question: because I wrote so many different things, from analysis, to personal notes, to character development in my notebooks, I would label certain things I wrote with a letter in the corner of the page. For personal writing it was a simple "P", plot development was usually an "X", but for actual, full on stories I would, for no good reason, write "M.C". Eventually I made "M.C" the clue the characters needed to solve a mystery in one of my stories. I put meaning to the letters and M.C began to mean Matriarch Computer because of the nature of the story. So because I originally made this blog to write stories about the Eighth Doctor and Big Finish audios, I made this blog my "M.C" page. But then The Man From U.N.C.L.E. came along and you know what happened and I couldn't think of a good tmfu url so I just left matriarchcomputer. So yeah... that's the story behind my silly url. People in the past have also referred to me as M.C, which I honestly love and find quite funny because of what M.C began to mean in that old story of mine. Anyway, I'm rambling. Thanks for the ask!
