this might be incorrect, but in my head the close family is rapping houdini... (its just been in my all day)

like look at some of these lyrics:

All if the dads except Terry JR are pretty sad to me. Grant seemed to be in the process of getting help and opening up at the end of season one, but now he tries to keep his son away from the world, possibly fearful of losing him like he lost Darryl. Because if any og dad died, it’s Darryl. Sparrow still defends his brother and Lark is a paranoid mess. Is it possible he stopped hating Henry after releasing The Doodler? The hate was a major factor in stabbing him. Divine intervention stopped the Rogue card. Once the hate’s purpose was done, it might’ve faded thanks to the Doodler.

Man with the Wilsons I feel like I've already come to terms with the idea that Darryl is dead, but I know if/when they confirm that in the show it's gonna hit me like a BRICK. I'm definitely with you on the idea that Grant's helicopter dad-ing is a result of that.

I do like the idea that the Doodler's escape became the "divine intervention" required by rules to undo the Rogue card, but I also tend to take the Rogue card in this context more abstractly. Like Anthony said in a Talking Dad once that rather than having the Rogue card be the magical cause of Lark's anger at Henry, it acted more as a predictor of anger to come. Like a fortune you can't reverse once it's been read. The abstract version also lines up with how Anthony played it. Lark didn't change right after the card was pulled, it was a couple more interactions, and he only changed once he had a reason to change

and then Nick, who spent a childhood with a single parent, now having a kid with a single parent, and the single parent is not him. where did he have to go where he couldn't come back? Taylor's Daddy Magic means he must be out there somewhere, still loving Taylor, right?
