New review: 3.5* I know I've mentioned before that the zombie apocalypse genre isn't my fave spooky genre, but Nick Clausen keeps improving as every day of the end of the world progresses. I've been reviewing a copy of each book in exchange for an honest review since Day 1 came out, and I have to say that even though my anxiety is through the roof the entire time I'm reading these books (top tip if you're reading them in bed late at night and you’re easily spooked (like me): make sure to go to the potty first so you don't have to get out of bed anymore!), I still look forward to finding out what happens in the next one. Day 4 continues in the same vein as the previous books, drawing heavily on our own real-world Covid-19 crisis (which I've often referred to as a zombie apocalypse without actual zombies - although you could make an argument that some folks are just zombies in disguise), except now, you're introduced to more super spreaders and potential heroes as human nature takes over, for better or for worse, and the virus breaks though the road blocks to start expanding across Denmark. Unfortunately, in Day 4, we encounter some folks we'd rather not see again, and lose some old and new friends along the way, as Nick Clausen is a master at getting you to care for his good characters quickly before ripping them away from you just as quickly and more painfully. But I'm a hopeless optimist, so despite knowing in my heart of hearts that this series can only end one way, I'm still hoping that Dan, William, Mille, and the rest will power through to save the day. #nickclausen #deadmeat #day4 #goodreads #Amazon #review #bookreview #iheartbooks #readingisfundamental #kindle #bookstagram #book #books #read #reading #readmorebooks https://www.instagram.com/p/CGhaVaZn42o/?igshid=87h544m7w53b
