I just found out about Lance Bruner.
Technically, the batkidd have one other brother. Hell, he also saw his father die, and he wore the Robin suit for like a hot second before dying. He caused so much trouble for both Bruce and Dick but did his last sacrifice in a bid to prove that he's not all bad. Granted, like Dick, due to ages at the time, you can say he was more brother-son.
The kid got kicked out of Reform school and Military Academy and a slick liar, even orchestrated a fake hostage situation to see if Bruce cared for him enough to pay the ransom.
And in the notes of the wiki, under rumours, it says he might've been the pre-Jason Todd or pre-Damian Wayne.
He's from a rich family, his father is a close friend of Bruce's father, his mother died when he was two, and his dad never had time for him.....
Okay, but like I’m pretty sure the reason Bruce didn’t want Dick to leave or to give up the Robin mantle or move on from it because he was scared of his little bird leaving the nest. I mean your first child is like the one you try to do everything right with and are the most cautious with because you don’t know what’s next. So I’m pretty sure Bruce didn’t want Dick to leave, not because he was incompetent, but because he didn’t want him to grow up.
