“If they wanna get inside those old labs so badly, why don’t they use something like this?”
“...Do you think it didn’t occur to whoever founded the Black Armory to reinforce their secure facilities at least enough to resist small-arms fire?”
“I don’t mean gettin’ through the doors. I mean gettin’ through the computers.”
“How’s that—dare I ask?”
“There’s some kinda puzzle, right? Encrypted, sneaky whatsit, yeah? Well, just blast it. Puzzle solved.”
“I’m fairly certain destroying the computers wouldn’t release the locking mechanisms they control.”
“Dunno, has anyone tried? I’ve had lots of success blowin’ up computers when stuff’s locked. Made my way through half the Cosmodrome like that, in the old days. And when ol’ Zavala cordoned it off? BAM! I blew my way back in the same way.”
“Hold on, you did what?”
“Well, I found one of those big air ducts in the wall, put a charge on the control panel for the hatch, and blew it up. Presto! Open hatch—and ten minutes later, I’m strollin’ through the Cosmodrome again, got the whole place to myself. Ha!”
“You—have you been through decontamination? When was this? Are you wearing the same gear now? What’s that red stuff on you there?”

Not surprised honestly.
Shout out to the destiny 2 forge puzzle being so hard that even Activision quit
Is it weird that I kind of... stopped caring about Destiny’s goof-ups? People were so excited about Niobe Labs and the fourth Forge, but as soon as we all realized the puzzle was taking more than a couple of hours to solve, everyone started splitting up into various levels of pissed-off. Twenty-six hours in (if I remember correctly), Bungie announces that Bergusia will be opened regardless of the puzzle’s completion, and the community divided even further.
Meanwhile I’m like “... a’ight,” and go back to grinding out Cursebreaker.
I donno, I guess I’ve decided to stop letting Bungie’s mistakes bother me. I’m probably going to have some folks pissed at me, saying I should care so that I can help change D2 for the better or whatever, but maaaaan, the sheer level of salt and infighting this week doesn’t make me want to do a damn thing about it.
Wake me up when Last Word drops — I’ll bring some popcorn.
Bungie announced that you’ll still get rewards for solving the puzzle, but the forge will be open for all players today, 01/09.
Been watching 20k+ people try to solve the Niobe Labs level 6 puzzle for destiny 2 for over 12 hours total from step one.
It's been a wild ride to say the least.
