#OnThisDay in @chicagocubs history ▸ Jake Arrieta hits a 3-run homer off of @sfgiants Madison Bumgarner in the second inning to give the Cubs the lead in Game 3 of the NLDS (the Giants would come back to win the game 6-5 in 13 innings). Bumgarner hadn't allowed a run in his last 23 postseason innings and he had never allowed a home run to a pitcher, before Arrieta's blast.
