I've seen this on my dash a few times now from different people and it's such a lovely idea!! I love seeing people talk about their own writing, it's so fun and positive and wholesome :)
Also this is... a lot harder than I thought it would be lol. I've written quite a bit over the past few years, and I'm usually pretty happy with just about anything that I write, so it's difficult to pick a top 5. But I guess, if I had to, I'd say:
It Was Only A Kiss (Kurtbastian). This is my biggest fic, and it was such an undertaking and I'm really just so proud of myself for finishing it. And the reception it got by the fandom was just so so phenomenal, I can't believe how supportive and enthusiastic so many people were about it.
Echoes of You (Klaine/Kurtbastian). This is still a WIP, but I'm pretty proud of a lot of what I've written so far. I've definitely made myself cry at least once while working on this. It's been slow going lately, so if anyone is reading I apologize, but I really want to make sure I do it justice.
He Forgets Me, He Forgets Me Not (Klaine). This fic, and the whole series, is really quite different to everything else I've ever written. It's also really, really personal to me, and I think maybe that's why it makes the list. It's angst, but a different kind of angst to what I usually write, and the verse as a whole has been an important outlet for me.
Keep It Simple (Klaine). This is just a sweet little Klaine proposal fic, and in my opinion it's also not really typical of what I usually write, but I just love the idea of a future!Klaine where this proposal happens, and I don't know. I think it's just a cute glimpse into their lives and I'm really glad I could put that into the world.
Note of an Old Mistake (Kurtbastian). I kind of just feel like this is a classic "me" fic? it's got angst, it's got smut, what else could you want? It's also my most popular one-shot, so it seems like other people appreciate it as well haha.
I would also love to encourage anybody who maybe hasn't received this ask yet to go ahead and make a list of your 5 favourites and post it! Feel free to say I tagged you. I just think this is such a great idea and I'd love to see what people are particularly proud of :)
