I just found out about Nobot and on the basis of only that I'm forming the headcanon that - you know how people talk about the woods in Appalachia at 3 am? That's the kind of niche Tatooine fills in the Star Wars universe.

Nobot (also known as the Ghost Droid) was a mysterious, supposedly cursed 3PO-series protocol droid that wandered the streets of Mos Espa. The droid first appeared bloodstained and scored with blaster shots. When spoken to, Nobot played a recording of a young pregnant woman being violently killed, then static.
