Out of the Unknown: Thirteen to Centaurus (1.11, BBC, 1965)
"Humane... I suppose so. In a way. So long as they don't find out. So long as no one in there knows. It sounds a horrible prospect: clinical, inhuman. But as you say, Francis, it may be the only way."
Doomwatch: The Logicians (2.12, BBC, 1971)
"Our syllabus is completely comprehensive."
"Yes, but it cannot be adjusted to each individual - a computer can only deal with a mass. Whatever the problem, each child reacts in a different way. A computer isn't capable of recognising this."
"Doctor, we do have teaching staff as well, and we've already proven to us the value of our system. The children's behaviour patterns are excellent."
"A receptive child's mind, Mrs. Grantz, without any ethical guidance, has a terrifying potential. And what worries me, as director of Doomwatch, is that you don't seem to be aware of this."

“My mom grounded me for what you did.” marcel/noel
“No–” Noel was sick of the finger pointing. She never forced him to do anything he didn’t want to do. She never made him tag along if he so much asked her not to include him so when he started to accuse her of being at fault the little girl felt a slight flare of anger building up within her. She shook her head, she wasn’t going to allow this. “For what we did. It’s not like you’re the only one who got in trouble. My dad didn’t go easy on me either. In fact, I’m sure my punishment was worse but you don’t see me going off and blaming you for what I knew I was getting into.”
