hi! i was wondering if you could write a fic connecting tenet and inception, whether that be with the characters meeting, it being set in the same universe, or whatever else you think would work! thanks.

Café chatter fades to the background as Arthur turns the bullet over in his hand, wondering if it were just a trick of the light during his most recent rodeo with Ariadne and Eames. The way he saw this bullet move should be impossible.

He has heard of something like this. It's hard to be a point man in this business without picking a few chatter on the side.

Word was there was a organisation, a group, a cult, whatever hour preferred definition, called Tenet. The don't know who the other members are and what they stood for, but word amongst dream sharers was that they were the next level of warfare.

If his world was dreams made real, then this bullet in his hand was the real unravelled.

"I think that belongs to me."

Arthur reaches for the gun but the man is already sliding into the seat across from him with a small smile and there is a sense of genial ease about him. American, if his accent is to be believed. Special forces or something equally specialised. He holds himself relaxed and open but Arthur knows better. This man is as dangerous as they come.

"You must be...?"

The man's smile grows. There is something wolfish about the way his delight crinkles his eyes. "Mr Arthur, my bullet please."

"How do I know it is yours?" He challenges. The man contemplates it for a beat before holding his hand out over the et on Arthur's palm.

It flies out and up. He catches it, sliding it into his coat pocket.

"Mr Arthur," The man says with a tilt of his head. "Stick to dreaming. Some things aren't meant to have answers, after all."

"How--"

"You'd do well to leave this alone," The man stands. Buttoning up his jacket he smooths a hand over his curly hair. "Sweet dreams, Mr Arthur."

He tenses. Ready for a fight, which does not escape the man's notice. If anything, he looks even more amused.

Arthur does not chase him down when he leaves.
