#non binary erasure

I really want to see more non binary run blogs that talk about exorsexism. About how prevalent it is, all the damages it causes, the way our hurt feels like it's always less important than monobinary trans people's. And Im not saying there's someone who has it worse or that we have it worse than others, but even when I think of myself and how other non binary people are treated, there's always this feeling that we're not "trans enough", that not being on the "opposite" side of the binary as the one we were raised in makes us less trans and that proportionally, transphobia against us is less serious.

Ive seen someone talk about an across the aisle binary and I agree so much, although there are controversies with the blogger, but I just want to see others talk about this more because I dont feel educated enough to theorize how the world works but seeing this stuff every single day really makes me wish that some non binary people with more experience in gender studies would talk about this stuff

So. I've seen a fair few posts recently making what I consider to be good points about the various forms of transphobia that trans men and trans women face in different ways. And then... They get accompanied by things pitting us against each other. So here's my conclusion as a trans woman: TMA and TME is a stupid distinction that reinforces the gender binary and serves no purpose other than to divide us. Hell, transmisogyny and transandrophobia just aren't helpful terms. We experience transphobia in different ways but it's all fucking transphobia. Arguing over who has it worse just makes us easier targets. We cannot afford to turn on each other like this. Please everyone just calm the fuck down, recognise that other people experience transphobia differently, and recognise that dismissing different experiences of transphobia as an infringement on each other's spaces is the exact tactics transphobes use against us. Fucking stop.

Everything was going so swimmingly in the fic I was reading and then, bam, chapter 5, they use she/her for Muriel and ruin everything... So tired of nbi erasure.

So I have been going through the detransition tag. Does stopping testosterone and living under your birthname equal detransitioning? Like I realised I wasn't female to male transgender a long time ago and I always stick to saying i'm non binary. Which I technically am. But since there's so much ignorance and hate in this world regarding non binary identities I came to the conclusion people referring to me as a gender non conforming female (not women) is fine too. Like there's just too much going on for me mentally that I can't deal with non binary erasure. Doesn't mean I completely stopped identifying as non binary but gender non conforming female is fine too. In other words, I'm confused..
