CCMerged file - What does it do and where to get it?

CCMerged is a file containing all necessary XML data for all Store Content Sims 3 offers. It's consisted of all data necessary to make Premium Store Content work. The file itself holds data for any store content that will introduce new: buffs (moodlets), skills, recipes, plants, ingredients.

The file can be found in the following location(s):

C:\Users\[User]\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\DCBackup

C:\Users\[User]\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Overrides*

C:\Users\[User]\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages*

*If you have the Mods folder installed and presumably using Store Fixes for your content, it is advised to put a copy of CCMerged in both "Overrides" and "Packages" folders within Mods folder.

In cases where newly installed Store content items will provide no interactions (ie. clicking on a Premium object doesn't have any interactions popping out), it is advised to re-download the CCMerged file and place it into the aforementioned folders and [clearing cache] after that. While getting this file isn't always the solution to fixing lack of interactions, it is fine to replace this file in case of corruption or missing XML data.

Just playing around in create a sim, trying to get Trinity’s style down, see what looks good on her and editing some things. Trying to make her look more like Trinity. I love create a sims. Also, now my games runs a lot smoother so thanks to nonasims and simplykitab for helping me find a good tutorial to get CC Magic working :D

Yes, you can. All you have to do is register them on Origin.

Yeah, this guy did the same thing to me. So I just took his translation and stuck it in my own mod myself. I have a policy of not caring if people reupload my stuff but I still think its really stupid to reupload a script mod if you can’t support it.

The superpatcher didn't work. I spend the whole morning with EA again and it's still not working. It's not just my worlds, but it's everything that I ever bought from the sims store that gives the "game isn't up to date" error when I've patched it at least four times by now. I'm getting frustrated, please help?

I’m sorry you are having such a hard time. I wonder if the problem could be something to do with a corrupted or deleted ccmerged package. The following information is taken from NRaas’ General Issues FAQ and credited to NonaMena of Nona’s Sims:

 The most common cause of broken premium content is due to an incomplete ccmerged.package in the DCBackup folder.

The ccmerged.package is found in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\DCBackup. This package is used to store all Sims 3 Store-related moodlets, skills and recipes. If your ccmerged.package is incomplete, or empty, your premium content will not be able to work properly. The ccmerged.package will not appear for users who have not installed premium content.

Did you perhaps run into the evil crash that can happen after you add a new floor to lot? :(

nope, i was exiting the game because i made the TS3 folder recreate and the only thing i did was to merge some hair i've always had so idk what's wrong with it D:

I recently bought Monte Vista from the sims 3 store and my wood fire oven has no interactions. My game is updated i've tried all the different store fixes and nothing has worked for me. Do you know what the problem may be?

Have you seen this article ? Quite often, problems with premium custom content are the result of a missing or deleted ccmerge.package from your DCBackup. folder. The article explains how to restore the ccmerge.package if it is missing, as well as offering in-depth trouble-shooting.
