Marshmallows to Share
Rated G | 675 words | Destiel, background Saileen
Christmas Fluff, Tooth Rotting Fluff, enby Jack, he/they Jack, Dean being a Dad, Sloppy Kisses
For @starrynightdeancas and @drgarth 's B&BAdventCalendar Day 6 Hot Cocoa
Jack popped another mini marshmallow into his mouth. The bag had been sealed and full when they started, and now they were wrapping a third of the bag onto itself and securing it with a twist tie. It would be obvious someone had eaten them, but when he heard footsteps, he quickly tossed the bag into the cabinet anyway.
The angelic sweet tooth definitely runs in the family.

"Jack, I think its time for you to get some sleep." Cas leans against the door jamb and watches Jack grumble and close the book he was reading. "What's wrong?"
"There's no.... I can't find any books with people like me in them." Jack frowns and and throws himself on his bed with a sigh. Tilting his head in confusion Cas looks over at the books he has assembled in Jack's collection and it sinks in. Jack is non binary, and none of the books are about non binary people.
"I am sure they are out there Jack, we just have to find them... for now why don't we change one until we can expand your collection? How about.... this," Cas picks up a book from the shelf and then tucks Jack in, sitting on the edge of the bed he beings reading to Jack a story of Goldie locks and the three bears. Changing things just slightly to make sure that the pronouns fit right. And describing the main character more like Jack.
Its a simple and easy thing, and Jack eventually falls asleep right before the last "ah, just right!" So Cas flicks the light off after putting the book back and kissing Jack's forehead softly. Once out in the hall and the door is closed Cas leans his head against the cool wood thinking what he could do to help Jack. A light bulb bursts in a Flux of angry grace as Cas kind of hates that Jack doesn't have even children's stories he can relate to.
Hearing the bulb break in the hall Dean steps out of their room, "Cas? You okay sunshine?" The momentary call out breaks into Cas' mood and he near runs over the man in his haste to tell Dean that he is NOT okay and that they need to do something, but the words come out in Enochian and Dean stops him. "Breathe for me, big breath in.... and out. Try again."
"Jack can't relate to the books because none of the characters are like them." Dean blinks, and thinks about what Castiel has said and nods. "What can we do?"
"Well, I can see if we can buy any.... but maybe we could write one? Or... well uh-" Dean flushed as if embarrassed.
"You would write Jack a book?" The squinting head tilt is back that kinda makes Dean's knees weak a little bit.
"Uh yeah sure... I can try." And so for the next few weeks Dean reads, and reads, and reads more estuaries than he ever thought possible and hates just about every fairy tale he gets his hands on until an idea strikes him. So he begins to write. In secret and at night, until a few months later he's got a story that he asks Sam to read over for him as an editor because he doesn't trust himself...
And Sam thinks its good... real good. There are a few little grammer things (Dean how many run on sentences can you write. PLEASE USE PUNCTUATION) but its great. When Sam hands over the manuscript he pats Dean on the shoulder and tells him that he is proud of him, and of course Dean flushes brighter than a tomato.
Somewhere online Dean finds how to format the book properly and takes the edited and formatted manuscript to get printed, along with a suprise bit of art that he snuck from Jack's ever growing doodle collection. And a bit of his own for the cover.
On Jack's birthday they decide to go out to eat and let Jack pick the place. Of course its a diner, and of course they all get a slice of pie before heading home to a cake Dean made and a book shaped package all wrapped up in a lopsided bow. Nervously Dean watches as Jack opens the gift and almost excuses himself (I was not crying Sam) when Jack lights up and asks him, "can you read it to me tonight Dad?"

Quickly threw something together 😌😌😌
all hail the autistic gay angel and his autistic nonbinary child❤️🥰
i dont normally do this type of fanart (this was my first time drawing like this and it probably wouldve been better with guidelines djdjdjj) but these two are worth it❤️
I know ppl are inevitably still gonna be using he/him pronouns for Jack, but since Alex said that; in his mind, Jack would be using "they/them" pronouns (and not nonbinary he/him or he/they), i'll be using those as well. ❤️
Jack & Gender Studies
Okay so I might have been exploring some fluffy HC about transnatural in general and, well here. For your considerations:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was just another run of the mill case, in some kind of off College town in the middle of nowhere but it was a case none the less. Jack and Sam broke off from the group to go check out the local college library for some archive research as Cas and Dean went to go get them a few motel rooms for the next few days. Sam is looking through old microfiche for records not accessible on line when Jack comes quickly over to him, almost tripping on his mostly untied (no longer plain white) converse. “Woah there Jack.”
“Sam... what is gender studies?” The question is so innocent and so out of place that it takes Sam a full thirty seconds to reboot his brain and try to answer it. Where had Jack heard the term? They were in a college library, “there was a group over there studying and one of the guys was complaining about gender studies and how he didn’t understand how it all broke down.”
With a slow nod and a deep breath Sam tried to pull a good explanation up from his Stanford days. “Well, Gender studies covers a spectrum of studies into gender representation and identity. There are different sections usually: Woman’s studies, Men’s studies, and Queer studies.” It was a pretty basic explanation and Sam could clearly see the next sixteen questions in Jack’s eyes so he tried to circumvent that a little bit. “I am sure there is a book around here that explains it a little better. Lets see if we can’t find one?”
