I kinda wrote myself into a corner by doing super detailed posts every time I put out a song because the thing about that is, I got burnt out >.< not from making songs, I’m still making songs! In fact, I just made another one! But now it’s been like three songs since I last did a post and I feel guilty hahaha.

🏳️‍🌈 Pride Month Day 19: Kehlani 🏳️‍🌈

Kehlani is a singer and songwriter who released their first mixtape "Cloud 19" in 2014 following her departure from the teen pop group Poplyfe. She followed it up with "You Should Be Here" in 2015, "SweetSexySavage" in 2017, "It Was Good Until It Wasn't" in 2020, and "Blue Water Road" in 2022. They are known for combining pop, R&B, hip-hop and neo-soul in their music.

Kehlani came out as queer in 2018, and in 2021, they announced that she identifies as a lesbian. She also said that they are polyamorous. Kehlani uses both she/her and they/them pronouns, and they include female pronouns in their music. In one interview, they said, "I don't mind when people say 'she' at all, but something feels really affirming when people say 'they'... It feels like you really see me." She is vegan and lives on a farm in California with their daughter.
