I know you touched in on Darrenās life throughout the Indya story but Iāve been wondering does he have any siblings? Does he even know who and where his father is (hell any of his family for that matter)??
How did... I don't even have his SAVE open....Ignore him nonny.
So yeah, Darren's background isn't a pretty one. He had a brother, however his brother didn't live to see 18. Where Darren grew up, the life expectancy for brothas like him was about 24 years on average. Its shameful. The only family he knew was his mother who passed away when he was still a teenager, maybe around 16? She never said much about his daddy only that "he ain't shit". Darren knew his dad was in prison but he never met him and heard many years ago that prison eventually became his daddy's graveyard. Its a tragic tale honestly but a testament to how far he's come. Its just him against the world.
THANK YOU FOR ASKING NONNY!!!! Its the growth for me!
Reasons why I love therapy :
1) I have a safe space to talk about my emotions and feelings without feeling judged.
2) I can talk about my day without feeling like a burden and my therapist is really nice, she listens and is supportive.
3) she helps me understand what I'm feeling and helps me so that I know myself better.
4) she tells me about healthy coping methods so that I have a way to let out my emotions and not keep them bottled up.
5) Dealing with my past trauma and she helps to figure out stuff and how to process trauma & process emotions + how to overcome trauma.
6) she has taught me a lot about self compassion & being kind to myself.
7) therapy can be really hard sometimes but she always asks me how I'm doing or if I need a break to breathe and drink water and asks me if I wanna stop talking about the particular topic.
8) teaching about the importance of boundaries and saying no.
9) saying things outloud makes you understand them in a better way.
10) You can talk about whatever you want for one hour without feeling guilty, or anyone else invalidating your pain or making it into a competition.
11) she made me realise that I deserve to be happy, I deserve to feel loved, I deserve good things and I can recover, I can move on.
12) being more present in the moment and being myself.
13) Not being afraid to have my own opinion, and voicing it, in public and in personal ( around people I know).
14) therapy saved my life.
These are some of the few reasons why I personally love therapy, it can be hard, and exhausting, but you grow so much and learn so much about yourself, it's so worth it.
Opening up and talking about your trauma, your feelings and thoughts it isn't easy and it might even feel scary at first, it did for me and it takes time but that's okay, so if you feel scared, just know that you are not alone and you are so brave. ā¤
not a big deal and not sure how many people will care, but a year ago today (actually yesterday now) was my first ever first therapy session and when i decided to make the change to heal and be better. itās been a rough journey to say the least, not easy and interrupted throughout (story for another day), but iām really proud of myself and just wanted to put it out thereš
HC: Part of Katsukiās training includes therapy sessions. Only Mr. Aizawa knew about it at first as heās the one that set up the first session. Mr. Aizawa thought it would be good training for Bakugou to learn some anger management strategies. Bakugou only agreed to it because Almight compared him to Endeavor and that didnāt sit right with him. He wanted to be better, so he opened his mind to alternative training. Through therapy, he learned to value mental health and realized how important mental and emotional training was to becoming a more well-rounded hero. Thatās why he started working better with others. Eventually, his closest friends found out and of course all of them supported him. The BakuSquad even went to their own sessions because they saw how helpful it was for Katsuki.
okay but for the love of god can we PLEASE normalize going to therapy at least as a starting point?
talk therapy isnāt for everyone but personally itās made a huge difference in my life (admittedly combined with various medications) but there is SOME TYPE of therapy that I genuinely believe could help with almost everyoneās problems.
normalize therapy!!!!
