Was the decision to set the story in Maine inspired by Stephen King in any way?
No, I've actually never read anything by Stephen King.

Love the demo!!! The music is really fun and helps set the tone for each scene! Super excited to meet Elizabeth and Kitty, and Harrison was appropriately the kind of innocently douchebaggy I imagined while reading his bio lol. And it totally seems like we woke up the next morning with more changes happening to our body than just the bruises...
Just one question, what made you decide the location? There's a lot of college towns/areas so I'm just curious!
Have a great day and I'm looking forward to seeing where things go from here! <3
Thanks for playing!! (and thank you for the spell check in ur other message!)
For the location, I was inspired by the ambience in the first life is strange game. I really liked the forests, but also the more coastal areas, and I wanted a good blend of nature and civilization. The possibility of snow was important too. Looking at the college towns and cities of Maine, I felt they had the atmosphere I was looking for, but I wanted to have more control, so I made the fictional town of Norwich.
