Hollanov would be devastated at Skip divorce

I'm not a huge fan of Skip, I'll admit it. I just don't like the dynamic and I'm not a fan of how quick they were moving. I think its a little unhealthy. But to all Skip lovers, I respect it. I don't hate the ship, I just don't engage in it. But when i see people saying Hollanov would be happy or celebrate Scott and Kip divorcing, it confuses me

Hollanov wouldn't have happened without Skip. Ilya would not have gone to the cottage. Neither would have the courage to try figuring it out and working together. I think that seeing Scott and Kip divorce or Scott telling them would truly shock Ilya and Shane to their core. I mean like, full on sitting in silence for 20 minutes just holding hands and thinking.

Like say Ilya goes to visit the Kingfisher and talk to Scott (post Scotts retirement) after the Centaurs had a game in New York. Scott ends up dropping the bomb: "me and kip are filing for divorce. It's mutual but it's still hitting me hard."

Ilya gets back to their hotel where Shane stayed (some hip pain, he wanted to get ice on it and relax). Shane's expecting Ilya to be a bit tipsy and goofy and happy but Ilya is stone cold sober and looking anxious. He tells Shane what Scott told him and Shane has a very similar reaction. The couple who made them feel brave enough to want and to feel and to confess? Divorcing? Like this is the equivalent of Tomdaya (Tom Holland and Zendaya) divorcing and Gen Z finding out.

Shane pats the bed and Ilya sits beside him. They interlock hands and just sit like that for a while before Shane starts saying that they need to make sure they always communicate, they always try to work it out as much as they fucking can because "that cannot be us, Ilya. I won't let it happen that easily. I don't want to lose you. I couldn't love someone else like I love you."

Do they fuck? Yeah, because they need to feel close and okay and honest and know that they plan to do this till the day they die (on the same day, no leaving each other, okay?)

They don't celebrate. They don't rub it in anyone's face. They reach out to both Scott and Kip and offer to help with anything they need. It hits them like a train but they talk through their worries and insecurities and help both their friends through it.

Again, not a huge Skip fan. But I hate it when people act like Hollanov would be petty about it cuz what??
