So I take out the trash, and on my way back to the apt., there's a guy standing in the path talking on his phone and asking, "Oh, are you the guy in the, uh... white? shirt coming this way? ... Oh.  Excuse me just a second, I have to run away." I was wearing 3-inch heels, leggings, a t-shirt, and a long, flowing headscarf. My man game is getting stronger.  I'm getting called a dude even when I'm not trying. (He was trying to find his Uber driver.)

There's a lot of islamophobia from the military family kids on my bus. They frequently talk about how they don't think Muslim kids should be allowed in our school and how they're happy that their parents kill them for a living.
