Between Earl grey and Lady grey, which do you prefer?
Also have you ever had a London fog (Earl grey tea with steamed milk and vanilla in it)?
Between Earl Grey and Lady Grey?
That’s like asking me to choose between dignity and flirtation.
Earl Grey is decisive, refined, and slightly intimidating. A bit like my grandfather.
Lady Grey, meanwhile, is lighter, more citrusy—she enters a room and everyone immediately feels like they should sit up straighter.
So, if I’m feeling stern and philosophical: Earl Grey.
If I’m feeling whimsical and perhaps about to write bad poetry on a windowsill: Lady Grey.
As for a London Fog—
I... tried one. Once. In secret. In the servants’ pantry, hunched over like a criminal.
I was attempting to be modern. Cosmopolitan. A gentleman of the world.
And then I spilled half of it into a drawer of linen napkins and panicked so hard I accidentally drank the rest in one gulp and got vanilla foam on my jabot.
Still, it was lovely. Would recommend. 8/10. Would not recommend doing it while crouched behind the preserves shelf.
Yours in tea and mild disgrace, — Percy
