Religion

Yes, I am a catholic. But that doesn't mean I don't support the theory of evolution, that doesn't mean I condemn people for being gay, that doesn't mean I want to bag on everyone else's religion and want them to adopt my religion as their own.

I don't hate all the Muslims, I don't condemn the Jews, I know my religion has had some pretty bad history, but I'm not off to start another crusade. Im not going to try and force my beliefs into your life. I know Catholicism has some pretty mean connotations, but I'm not a honky in a trailer park throwing racial slurs at the little black kids on the street. I'm not some Mexican drug dealer who lives in an apartment and does drive bys on gang members.

I know Catholics get a bad rap because a lot of us have done bad things. But we aren't just a bunch of mindless sheep, idol-worshippers, and child molesters. That isn't me, that isn't what I stand for, and it isn't something I support.

I'm a catholic because I believe in my Creed, I live by the Sacraments, and I respect what the church stands for. I know that it has it's corruptions, but it isn't evil. There are always good people and bad in any organization, and I'm willing to put my faith in the good people, as well as my own self judgement.

So if you plan on judging me based on old Catholic stereotypes, get to know me first. I'm an individual who makes his own choices.
