Okay I know there's a really old ask about someone who had a crush on you as a kid but thing is when I was a kid, I kinda saw you as a father figure? I don't know why I saw you as a father more than my actual biological dad. I hope this isn't too where for you to I just felt the need to say it for some reason idk.

Hi, I'm struggling with two things if you wanna see. 1. I have a very hard time giving my story direction. I struggle coming up with a plot /event to create a story, versus a bunch of characters. 2. I have a hard time with antagonists. Probably because of my views on how nothing is just black and white, but I still need help. While a story doesn't need a physical antagonist, I still want to work on this. I end up developing and/or loving a character to the point of redeeming them. Thank you!
There is no such thing as black and white, at least realistically it´s impossible to be 100% good or bad, no matter if it´s a character or a real person. So I agree with you there. However, that means that the antagonist doesn´t have to be an evil mastermind that wants to see the world burn. It is even advised to give your antagonist lovable features or someone to care about. Why else would a lot of people (myself included) have sympathies for antagonists or anti-heroes?
Long story short, an antagonist does not have to be a person, your hero could also fight against themselves, society, a group of people..etc. but if it happens to be a single character push them a little towards the light.
As for the first point, I can´t really help you develop a plot, unfortunately, that is something you have to figure out on your own.
