Note #3; Persephone

So, last night, I had a great epiphany about Persephone.

I was thinking about how when I was a kid, and we went to go visit my dad’s birth mother’s grave. I was no older than eight or nine, and I just remember feeling a sense of calmness. 

I don’t think I’ve been to a graveyard since then, but there was one each in both Washington & Texas (where I go to school and where I grew up) that I drive by constantly, and every time I see them, I always feel a pull. I’ve had this idea in my head for a while, about just sitting there, and watching the seasons change, especially summer to fall. 

And i just realized that that was Persephone’s way of talking to me. I need to start listening to her more...

Here is a minute-long timelapse of a sketch I did the other day using Sketchbook Pro and my Note 3 phone. The Note phones come with a little built-in stylus and they’re great for quick sketches. Sketchbook has a screen-cap option, and I like to switch it on (when I remember to do it) and then watch my drawings unfold in tiny movies.
