Ryuk multiverse posting again bc I want to explain my timeline

1- manga. It’s the meta starting point so it’s also where Ryuk (and us) get introduced

2- anime. Same as the manga but with the stipulation that Ryuk lets Light leave the warehouse before killing him, feels very au- canon divergence

3- 2006 films. Everything is very different but Ryuk doesn’t seem that phased by Light? Like he seems entertained but there’s none of the ‘this kid is crazy’ that he has in animanga

4-I’ve changed my mind from before im gonna say noteflix goes now. This time Ryuk meets a weird loser version of Light and lets it play out but it goes so badly to the point where he just wants to leave and BEGS light to give up the notebook, comes up with fake rules, lets light die, overall is so fed up

5- jdrama. Light is a loser again but this time Ryuk pushes him into being Kira proper. Is generally more goofy bc he’s trying to get the sour taste of dark-and-edgy noteflix off his tongue. Just wants to cause as much chaos as possible and see how that disrupts the timeline bc he’s done playing the observer

6- the musical. The whole time he is BORED. (Also he is extremely shocked seeing how many names light wrote down bc white Yagami and jdrama light both barely did anything and musical light is one of the worst). He just messes with light until L dies and then he drops the act and cba to wait for successors, if they even exist in this universe. Kills Light and decides he’s done for the next 10 years or so

I can’t speak for the audio drama (as much as i desperately want to listen to it) or the next generation but I’d probably place them between films and noteflix

And as for Rem, she has no clue, it’s a fresh rem every time living her doomed Yuri in every universe

If I had a nickel for every time a late 2010’s death note movie had a character meant to look like that story’s equivalent to Light but was actually the narrative parallel to Misa, I’d have two nickels

About Wammy's House generations in November 8th 1997

Ok, so,

In the Novemberverse (?), Wammy’s House is an academy who secretly used to raise child soldiers for the Cold War. Watari was a child soldier himself, a spy during WWII (he's older in my fic), who worked first in MI5 and then SoE. I kept the Four Generations which Mello mentions in LABB, but instead of being generations of L's successors (the math doesn't math) it's the total of the generations of Wammy’s kids.

Therefore we have:

Enrolled between 1980-1984

Enrolled between 1985-1989

Enrolled between 1990-1994

Enrolled between 1995-1999

I put L in the second generation, together with B. They know each other, because I didn't want B to be (ha ha) too young compared to L. And L was born in 1989 and went to Wammy’s House at 8.

I also made Near, Matt, Mello and Linda younger, putting them in the fourth generation, as intended.

I didn't want the Wammy’s kids to be carbon copies of L. I made it so that when L says they're "a legion" he's technically telling the truth, because there's a Legion of detectives trained like L is, which should be interchangeable.

So here's the list of all the Wammy’s Homies

Hear me out on my worst theory yet. Remember when we were told the Duffer Brothers were going to do another live action American Death Note? What if they already did?

What if the reason Noteflix 2017 was so bad was because all along it was the true Duff Note and this is a pseudo sequel to Stranger Things, featuring an adult Lucas trying to prevent more supernatural/inter-dimensional mind flayer nonsense.

I watched Netflix's Death Note movie and I was genuinely shocked at how heterosexual it was. Absolutely no homoerotic subtext between Light and L. I genuinely believe that's one of the reasons it sucked so bad. L and Light's relationship was not fleshed out enough to ship them.

Light Yagami and L Lawliet are enemies, but theyre so much more. They are obsessed with each other. They are each other's only worthy friend and only worthy adversary.

Netflix Light and L are just enemies.
