We as the audience also hear Lugia say “Let’s Go” in japanese!

That....

Ohmygod. It didn’t sound like Gou heard it so? Maybe only Satoshi understood Lugia? It anywho made the scene even cooler, as it was made to sound like Lugia’s cry but understandable? Is it just me who felt this way?

So yeh, subs are out, and I enjoyed the second episode of new Pokeani series even more now! Gou SO dumped Koharu because of “fateful encounter“ lol. More on Koharu, she really doesn’t seem that interested in getting to know Satoshi, and her Wanpachi is quite agressive towards our boy as well. Wonder what happened to Koharu that has made her react this way to strangers?

Also, super awesome to see Satoshi been mentioned on continuing his Pokémon trainer studies. That just makes me smile ;V; And there are no signs of regression in character or anything. Man.... maybe the hole in my heart that is missing Sun & Moon can be filled with this series? </3 Time will tell!

I quite like how they kept Satoshi’s character from Sun & Moon intact in new series. I mean, he still does those weird verbal explanations and talks about how he felt he understood what Lugia said before they headed to underwater. And that actually can be seen, as Satoshi heard Lugia’s voice just before the trip under water, and thus was able to prepare. This trait was in Sun & Moon as well, and has kinda been growing before it as well.

I also just love how Satoshi goes nuts at seeing a new doggo Pokémon he’s never seen before and starts moving like some weird four-legged creature trying to ask Wanpachi’s name and all lol. Satoshi you sweetie...

Gou on the other hand looks like the kind who acts all cool, is set on his vision of the future, obsessed with catching Mew as his partner (I wonder how Hibunny and Gou end up bonding and becoming partners). Also way more knowledged on research stuff already, looking at Satoshi with a bit of a “huh you don’t know“ face when Satoshi didn’t really seem to understand what a Research Assistant is lol. Quite cute. The two also seem to have some sort of rivalry going on already with who’s a better assistant, c’mon you two you gotta work together not against lol. Oh boi. And Koharu’s not impressed with two noisy boys being inside her house now, hahaha.

Gonna wait for subs to understand the episode a bit better now. But it was a ton of fun for me, I’m glad to see Hanako’s def not gonna be forgotten and Barrierd actually looks to be having a role! That’s cool! Now, back to playing Sword and waiting for subs XD

Oh, the preview got uploaded to twitter thanks to wonderful users, seems like Satoshi and Gou will have bit of a nack with each other, similarily to how Hikari and Satoshi didn’t get along right away. That hasn’t happened for a while (maybe a bit with Mamane but that was so brief.) Rocket Gang looks GORGEEUUUUS.

I do have to say I miss Sun & Moon styled preview dialogues, they were A+++++ tier. ;V; I like the preview music thou, it’s soooo great. But my hope is that once they visit Alola again, the preview dialogue style would get referenced. Just a small hope ;V;

Oh boi, that was a GREAT episode. Awesome to see the references to previous seasons through background details in Satoshi’s room, the faces from Sun & Moon live on YES, the humour lives on, the dynamic between Gou and Satoshi is AWESOME, Koharu is freaking awesome lol. Loads of Hanako as well (came for the sweets in Viridian/Kuchiba City), and Barrierd/Mr Mime stayed to help out with the research Satoshi, Gou and Sakuragi will be doing. Okido and Hanako went back to Masara Town ;V; Wanpachi is cute, Gou is great, Satoshi is just freaking awesome, maaan I feel so good after today’s episode and can’t wait to see more! We didn’t see a preview of the next episode thou, I’m confused let me see Rocket Gang!!

AAAAH I just finally realised something from the Pokeani preview trailer few weeks ago! About the scene where Satoshi says “Let’s have a battle!“ Bit of spoilers under the cut regarding the manga tie-in this series has, which potentially has HUGE spoilers for new series’ second episode, so proceed with extreme caution! Let’s go!

So this bit right here. I just read the manga’s first chapter today and kinda realised, this is probably and most likely directed at Lugia instead of what I assumed to be Gou and Scorbunny. Basing it on this:

I doubt the manga is actually shot-to-shot accurate with what’s gonna happen in Pokeani because the manga is so tightly condensed, but this is very much the same pose and kinda gives off the same attitude? So.... we’ll see Pikachu battle Lugia? That’s so freaking cool if so! Pikachu is truly the god-slayer lol

I also have to add how freaking happy I am to see my fav move <33333333 Can’t wait to see the new animation for it!

I won’t speak more about the manga chapter for now, because it’s honestly SO condensed and it’s hard to say what will be same with anime and what won’t be, but it does gives us a rough idea of what will be happening in the second episode. I’m so excited for it!

Merry Christmas everyone, Anipoke PR twitter has got some news for us!

This sunday at 10:30am JST, there’ll be a rerun of the second episode of the new series, alongside with recap of the start of the series + quick look at upcoming episodes.

10:30am translates to 1:30am UTC, meaning 3:30am GMT+2. For the people in -UTC areas, this special rerun actually airs on Saturday evening, Eastern Coast time being 8:30pm EST! So, if you wanna catch a subless rerun of second episode of the new Pokeani series, be sure to tune in! Or if you just wanna tune in for the upcoming episodes bit, like I do, it’s probably shown after the rerun so near the time stamp of 10:50am JST. But to be on the safe side, best to put the special to air on the background while doing other stuff still! So you won’t miss it! :)

We’ve been misinformed by Anipoke Staff LOL.

We only have one episode on November 17th apparently. No clue what the rest of 1h special is spent on.

Anywho, we know til episode 4 now (actually til episode 5 due to an artwork shared on twitter official account)! You can check them all on Serebii.Net forums, as usual, but here are the episode titles and supposed dates of airings:

November 17th: NS001: Pikachu is Born!

November 24th: NS002: On Lugia They Go, Satoshi and Go!

December 1st: NS003: Fushigisou is Quite Mysterious, Don't You Think So?

December 8th: NS004: Let's Go to the Galar Region! An Encounter with Hibunny!! 

No clue when episode five is airing, but judging by this tweet right here, It’s to introduce dynamaxing. The episode title appears to be something along the lines of “Kabigon is huge?! The big mystery of Dynamax!“

It’s a lot like the “Road to Kalos“ special before XY started airing (wasn’t around back then but there’s a subtitled recording of it so I know of it pretty well!) It’s not a Sun & Moon specific special and never was specified to be! We don’t know if there’ll be a Sun & Moon special later down the road, but I myself doubt it.

More-over, there’s also mis-information on what episode will be sharing Pikachu’s backstory. That would be episode 1 of new “Pocket Monsters” series, airing on November 17th alongside with episode 2 of the new series, which kicks off the series for real.

She had stupidly stopped by his club on her way home from a night out. Savannah had been thinking about him all night and she had too much tequila in her to stop herself. The bartender told her Nolan would be down in a minute. Knowing Nolan it was going to be longer than a minute. There was a cigarette in her bag with her name on it, and so, rather than wait for Nolan in the crowded club, she stepped around the corner to smoke. 

As her cigarette burned and her buzz began to wear off, Savannah began to feel stupid. Here she was waiting for him when she could’ve gone home with someone who wouldn’t keep her waiting. It was driving her crazy how much he had infected her mind. It had been a long time since any man had her wrapped around his finger like Nolan did. He was constantly leaving her hanging, only to draw her back in before she could move on. She was about to hang her head in shame and call an Uber home when she heard footsteps, and a familiar figure came into frame. “About time you found me. It’s rude to keep a girl waiting, Nolan,” she taunted him.
