The novelization of the film The Abyss was written by Orson Scott Card based on a screenplay by James Cameron and was published June 1, 1989. Card fleshed out the technology and the characters and gave them back stories. Cameron was so impressed that he added dialogue to film to reflect some of those events created in the book. Concept art by Moebius for James Cameron’s 1989 film “The Abyss.” We put up a gallery of these at heavymetal.com today, they’re quite gorgeous (even if the movie was Cameron’s least successful). . #moebius #jeangiraud #theabyss #jamescameron #conceptart #alien #nonterrestrialintelligence #nti @jamescameronofficial https://www.instagram.com/p/B-f9o0IlhZD/?igshid=17ux0ko1thl2t
I want to preface this by saying I have the utmost respect for teachers, they're criminally underpaid and are the building blocks of society. I know teachers are under a lot of stress and are still working very hard for their students. But, we were promised better resources and more guidance for NTI since there was more notice and prep time. Wanna know what we got?

Thats all I have been given as resources for helping teach my daughter. I audit mortgage modifications for a living, I am not a preschool teacher and my kid is not a sit and watch videos kid.
Fuuuuuck.
I pay tuition for my daughter to attend public school preschool. I am paying $200 a month for a goddamn YouTube education?!?!?

You can do almost everything with animatronics and puppets!
In this photo from Steve Johnson's studio XFX, special effects technician and puppet movement designer, Trey Stokes works on the translucent NTI being for James Cameron's underwater adventure THE ABYSS (1989).
