Ship Kiss Meme #22: …in a rush of adrenaline.

Timmy had hardly processed what had happened in the past 30 seconds. One moment, they'd been fighting the villains at the top of the tower, and the next suddenly he was in mid-air, falling. He'd been so in shock that he hardly even realized he'd been pushed off until suddenly Jimmy was in the air next to him, frantically grabbing for him.

In a burst of power that he didn't know he had, wings sprouted from his back as he grabbed Jimmy's shoulders, and pulled them both out of the nose dive they were in. He wasn't thinking about any of it until their feet slowly alighted on the ground, slowed by his dragonfly-like wings. He looked at Jimmy's face and saw the same shock, the same surprise that they were here, alive.

Timmy didn't even think about what he was doing as he pulled Jimmy close and kissed him.

The kiss probably lasted a few seconds. It felt like weeks, in the strange way that falling off a skyscraper had scrambled all meaning time once had in his brain. All he was aware of was the heat of Jimmy's lips against his, the slight scrape of teeth as their too-quick movements made the kiss a little less elegant.

Finally (minutes? hours? weeks later?) Timmy pulled away from him, staring into Jimmy's eyes, which held the same disbelief and wonder that he felt fluttering around his own chest.

"How did you know I could save us?" Timmy asked, breathless.

"I..." Jimmy's voice cracked, suddenly hoarse. "I didn't."

Timmy felt like he was falling to his doom again. "Boy genius idiot..."
