The other night I watched one of my favorite baseball movies in Bull Durham.Everything about this is fantastic, but clearly the relationship between Crash and Nuke is front and center. From the way he calls him “Meat" to correcting his lyrics ("Nobody gets woolly. Women get weary."), I love how I can appreciate the different characters as I, myself, have aged. The fact that it can speak to you at various stages of your life is a clear sign that this movie is a classic, and I highly recommend it if you’re a fan of the game. My only issue is with the weird Susan Sarandon stuff, but it’s only detracting enough to knock it down a small peg.
I may return to this post tomorrow and add some more insight, but I’m tired and just wanted to share. Go watch the movie. Now.
