"okay, it was kind of worth it volunteering to help out for this, the kids are really cute." it was a good way to pass the time in the earlier part of the day too, that way they had the rest of the night to actually enjoy the scarier parts of the festival.

"okay, okay--" omega was trying to talk through her own laughing fit as they spun their sister around, pulling them back in. "i can't breath, i need a second." they paused, still laughing a bit at how silly all of it felt, even in a positive sense. it wasn't like they got to enjoy themselves like this that often, so she was just happy to have a few moments with mouse where they could just laugh.

omega felt her feet collide a little with ness', feeling herself scuff the floor against their boot, holding onto ness a little tighter as she steadied herself. "you good?" they asked, a hand against their head as they paused. "sorry, did i step on your foot?"
"okay, i gotta know, how many people do you think would actually join us over here for this?" omega asked, leaning against the wall towards one of the more secluded corners. they had been immediately intrigued by toph's desire to get some kind of fight happening, and honestly, they were just bored and drunk enough to participate. "you wanna see if anyone will put money down on it?"

she was almost clear, they could see the edge of the grounds, the familiar hedge line that would duck into to follow into the woods. cloak pulled tighter around her head, she kept her eyes down, moving quickly and quietly. but just before her foot could cross into the freedom of the village, a familiar form's shadow engulfed her, body colliding with armor. "you-- god, jorah, where did you even come from?"

"alright, reinforcements are here!" omega dropped her bag under the table of the stall, moving to get a little more situated as they looked back at sha hualing with a grin. "i don't think we actually met yet, omega." they held their hand out. "i'm friends with shen qiao. i'm glad it's not just me here today."
