Antonio just gave me the most amazing book and I cannot stop reorganizing all my possessions in my mind.
To say that he found the Egyptian glyphs inspiring is an understatement.

So I'm presenting this paper as part of my course on Friday. Pretty interesting read. Upon reading of more up-to-date research, I would be really interested to know if different 'dip' times induced by TMS in visual awareness may be affected by the object category of the stimuli being presented. . . .My thinking is that stimuli like letters (as used by some studies e.g. Corthout et al. (2002, 2003)) and symbols (e.g. Koivisto et al., 2011) may be processed differently compared to studies that have induced phosphenes in participants , such as Silvanto et al (2005). If this were the case, then feed-forward and local recurrent processing may occur at different time points, depending on the object being viewed.
