Anuradha natives are so "normal or conventional coded"-they just smile their bunny teeth out, make friends,go out and have a good time. They are such a good example for "a normal average person"-they never settle for less tho.On the other side-they can be hardworking and "perfect" in whatever they plan to do.
Uttarabhadrapada women and men can potentially be such good lawyers omgg-and i don't mean the cunty, shouting over the countertop lawyers but the clean, sleek and intellectual ones. They are great at reasoning as they think a lot.
Magha natives I have noticed, especially men are filled with hell lot of pride from where they come from. They have immense respect for their roots and super protective of their culture. They also tend to have a majestic presence and are super sarcastic and funny.
Uttarashada women are so "I will proceed to read a book at the club" coded-they can be super ambitious and don't have time for frolicking around. They are the "explorers".Men usually chase these women for their intellectual outlook on the world and their familiarity with corporate themes yada yada...they don't make friends-they make acquaintances. They can act quite stuck up sometimes-sort of pick me.
˙˖ ࿔ WHAT'S THE SOUTH NODE PERSONA CHART AND HOW DOES PLUTO FIT IN? ⚘ ˙˖
⤷ your south node persona chart is kind of like a peek into your past life. it shows who you were, the lessons you didn’t quite get in the last round, and any old patterns that might still be sticking with you now. ˚. ᵎᵎ
⤷ we’re gonna explore how PLUTO might give us some clues about how you passed away in your past life. i’ve always found death and reincarnation super fascinating, so i figured this would be an interesting topic to unpack.˚. ᵎᵎ
⤷ pluto is the planet of death, rebirth, and karma, so it's a major player in past-life astrology. i've seen how strongly it resonates not just in my own chart but also in readings i’ve done for others. of course, aspects can modify how it shows up, so keep that in mind.˚. ᵎᵎ
﹒ ﹢ ♡. PLUTO IN 1H ﹑ ﹒ your past life probably ended in a really intense or sudden way. something violent or deeply personal. you might’ve been someone who stood out a lot... like people knew who you were. maybe you had power, status, attention and that visibility made you a target. betrayal, revenge, or even a public takedown could’ve been involved. there’s also this warrior vibe here, like you were thrown into dangerous situations or lived a life where conflict was constant, and that might’ve led to your death too. you might’ve been someone whose identity challenged others like just being yourself rubbed people the wrong way. maybe your body or your health gave out from all the pressure, or you were physically harmed because of who you were. and now that energy kinda lingers. you might feel lowkey anxious about being too seen or too open. maybe you’re super aware of how much space you take up or how others perceive you. power struggles could come up a lot, especially when it feels like people are trying to control you or define who you are. there might be this hidden fear that visibility = danger, so you’re constantly learning how to protect your energy and stand your ground without losing yourself.
﹒ ﹢ ♡. PLUTO IN 2H ﹑ ﹒ your past-life death had a lot to do with money, survival, or your sense of security. you might’ve died poor like truly struggling, maybe from starvation or being completely deprived of the basics. or, plot twist: maybe you had a lot, like a lot of wealth… but that’s what got you in trouble. betrayal, greed, someone wanting what you had. it could’ve ended messy. there’s also a vibe of being used. like maybe you were forced to work, controlled, or treated like property. it’s even possible someone hurt you for your money, inheritance drama, stolen riches, maybe even poisoning. either way, your soul probably left that life with a deep imprint of loss, instability, and fear around material things. in this life, you might not totally know why, but money stuff hits different. maybe you stress over finances more than most, or you just hate the idea of relying on others for anything. your stuff is super sacred to you. sharing can feel scary, like if you’re not careful, something might be taken from you again. there might be this lowkey fear of being used or losing everything. so now, you’re learning how to feel safe, secure, and abundant without clinging too tight.
﹒ ﹢ ♡. PLUTO IN 3H ﹑ ﹒ this one’s intense. with pluto sitting in your 3rd house of the south node persona chart, your past-life death probably had a lot to do with your voice, your thoughts, or the information you carried. maybe you spoke out about something people didn’t want to hear. a truth that ruffled feathers, exposed secrets, or challenged authority. and for that, you could’ve been silenced… maybe even punished or executed just for speaking. there’s this sense that your words were powerful. too powerful for the time you were in. you might’ve been seen as rebellious, unhinged, or even dangerous just for thinking differently. for some, there’s also a connection to travel like dying during a journey, in an accident, or while trying to deliver a message. conflict with siblings or people close to you might’ve played a role too… betrayal could’ve come from someone you trusted. and in this life that fear of speaking up might still linger. maybe you hesitate before saying what’s really on your mind, or feel like people might twist your words. you might keep secrets close, or feel super protective over your thoughts and ideas. there could be this unshakable feeling that talking too much, or trusting the wrong person, could somehow backfire. but the beauty of it is. you’re here to reclaim your voice. this time around, you’re learning it’s safe to speak, to question, and to be heard.
﹒ ﹢ ♡. PLUTO IN 4H ﹑ ﹒ this placement is deep and a little haunting. if you have pluto in the 4th house of your south node persona chart, it suggests your past-life death might’ve happened in your own home. maybe it was something sudden or tragic, like a fire, a break-in, or even something darker… like family betrayal. there’s a strong link to generational stuff here too like ancestral trauma or karmic cycles passed down through the bloodline. your death might’ve been part of that bigger pattern, tied to pain that ran deep in the family. some people with this placement may have died really young, maybe due to illness, an accident, or just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. and for many, home wasn’t a safe space. it might’ve felt more like a trap, a battlefield, or a place where love was conditional. in this lifetime, that energy can still hang in the background. maybe you’ve felt like the black sheep, or like you never fully belonged where you came from. home might feel distant, hard to create, or even hard to define. family dynamics could be messy, secretive, or emotionally charged like there’s always something under the surface no one wants to talk. about.you’re not doomed to repeat the past.
﹒ ﹢ ♡. PLUTO IN 5H ﹑ ﹒ this placement is dramatic in the deepest sense not just performance, but passion, heartbreak, and the kind of intensity that leaves a soul echo. in a past life, you may have died because of love. not just any love, but one that stirred up jealousy, betrayal, or pushed against the rules. think forbidden romance, scandal, or even execution for loving someone you weren’t “supposed” to. for others, the story leans toward risk, gambling, thrill-chasing, or high-stakes choices that ended badly. maybe you lost it all in a single moment… maybe you were the kind of person who lived on the edge and eventually fell over it. some souls with this placement carry memories of dying in childbirth, a final act of giving life that came at the cost of your own. and for a few, there’s this almost theatrical energy like you died onstage, mid-performance, or in the middle of a moment so intense it burned itself into your soul memory. loud, public, emotional. in this life, you might feel that lingering caution when it comes to love, joy, or creativity. like something in you wants to go all in. fall wildly in love, pour your soul into your art but there’s this echo of danger attached to pleasure. a fear that if you let yourself feel too much, it’ll end in pain. you may struggle to fully express yourself, wrestle with creative blocks, or feel nervous being seen. but this time around, your power lies in reclaiming joy. healing the part of you that learned passion = punishment. you're here to find safe love, fearless expression, and pleasure that doesn’t have to cost you everything.
﹒ ﹢ ♡. PLUTO IN 6H ﹑ ﹒ your past life likely ended not in one swift blow, but slowly. a quiet unraveling of the body. you may have died from illness, exhaustion, or the kind of suffering that wears a person down over time. maybe it was disease, maybe poison. something that crept in silently. there’s even a sense that someone else may have played a role… perhaps unknowingly, or with intent. you may have worked in service like medicine, battlefields, or grueling labor. environments that asked too much of your body and spirit, until you were used up. maybe no one even noticed how much you gave… or how much it cost you. in this lifetime, that memory lives in your bones. you might carry a quiet fear around your health. hyper-aware of every ache, every sign, every shift in energy. you might work too hard, too long, never resting enough… as if some part of you still believes rest = danger or failure = death. perfectionism could be your armor. you may feel safest when you're useful, needed, or silently suffering through your own expectations. but you're not here to prove yourself. you're here to heal yourself, and others. your soul remembers how to care, how to nurture, how to bring light into dark places.
﹒ ﹢ ♡. PLUTO IN 7H ﹑ ﹒ love may have been the thing that ended you. a past-life partner or someone you trusted, perhaps even adored. may have been the very person who brought about your final breath. maybe it was jealousy. maybe betrayal. maybe the kind of love that burns too bright and then destroys everything in its path. this placement speaks of entanglements that weren’t soft, but sharp. perhaps you died in a duel over honor, or drank from a cup you didn’t know was poisoned. perhaps you were punished simply for choosing the “wrong” person or for daring to love at all. marriage in that life may have felt like a trap. arranged, political, or unbearably controlling. love was never simple. never safe. in this lifetime, your soul flinches at closeness. you may crave deep connection but fear the cost. relationships stir something ancient in you. the longing, the loss, the haunting sense that love always asks for too much. you might attract intense bonds, ones that feel fated, magnetic, even destructive. power dynamics, trust issues, and betrayal may surface more than once. this lifetime asks you to heal your heart through conscious love, to choose people who hold you gently, not hostage. you are not doomed to repeat pain. you are here to learn that love can be safe, soulful, and sacred… without the bloodshed.
﹒ ﹢ ♡. PLUTO IN 8H ﹑ ﹒ you may have died shrouded in secrecy. your final breath tangled in power, betrayal, or the quiet hum of something otherworldly. this placement speaks of a death cloaked in mystery. perhaps you were sacrificed, assassinated, or pulled into the dark web of secrets you once tried to master. your life may have been one of influence, but also danger possibly connected to occult practices, hidden alliances, forbidden knowledge, or wealth that came at too great a cost. it may have ended in betrayal by someone who knew you well, knew exactly where to twist the knife. or you yourself may have been the keeper of secrets so heavy that they pulled you under. in this lifetime, there’s a quiet fear of surrender. you might shy away from intimacy, psychic experiences, or the dark corners of your own mind yet feel inexplicably drawn to them. like you remember what it was like to know too much. to trust too deeply. to lose yourself in power. you may be spiritually gifted but unsure whether it’s safe to open that door. the pull toward transformation is strong, but so is the fear of what it might cost.
﹒ ﹢ ♡. PLUTO IN 9H ﹑ ﹒ you might’ve died while you were out on some big journey maybe a pilgrimage or just seeking deeper meaning. there’s a chance that you were executed or punished just for holding onto beliefs that were different from everyone else’s, whether it was about religion, philosophy, or culture. things like crusades or holy wars? those might’ve played a part too, or even a battle over ideologies. and who knows, you could’ve even died in a shipwreck or from some unknown disease while far away from home, trying to explore uncharted territories. now, in this life, you're probably someone who’s super into learning, seeking truth, and just understanding the bigger picture of life. you’ve got that wisdom vibe and probably a strong need to dig deep into things, maybe even philosophy or spirituality. but with that, there might also be a bit of fear or trauma when it comes to your beliefs. maybe in the past, you got punished or misunderstood for what you believed in, so now there’s this underlying worry about being judged or criticized for what you hold true.
﹒ ﹢ ♡. PLUTO IN 10H ﹑ ﹒ you might’ve died because of a major public fall from grace. think public execution, assassination, or just being overthrown in some dramatic way. you could’ve been someone with real power like a king, queen, or rule and your ambition or actions made you a target. maybe you were betrayed, falsely accused, or even executed in front of a crowd. it could’ve been because of political drama, revenge, or just some nasty intrigue that led to your downfall. now, in this life, you probably have a pretty strong drive for success and recognition. you want to make an impact and get noticed for your abilities, and you might be super ambitious about climbing the social or professional ladder. there’s this deep desire to protect your public image, and you may find yourself drawn to leadership roles or positions where you can show what you're capable of. it’s kind of a karmic thing that need to be seen as important, powerful, or influential, even if it’s something you’re still figuring out how to navigate.
﹒ ﹢ ♡. PLUTO IN 11H ﹑ ﹒ in a past life, you might’ve been betrayed by people you trusted, or maybe your life ended while you were challenging the status quo. your death could’ve been tied to some kind of group conflict, maybe during a revolution or activist movement where you were fighting for social change or justice. you might’ve been one of those rebels who stood up for what you believed in, only to face violence or even sacrifice because of it. now, in this life, you might feel like you just don’t quite fit in with traditional groups or social circles. there's probably this feeling of being an outsider, like you’re always on the fringe. you might also carry a lot of mistrust when it comes to friendships, possibly because of those past-life betrayals, and there's this strong desire to make a difference or speak up for causes you believe in but at the same time, you probably have a deep fear of what could happen if you do.
﹒ ﹢ ♡. PLUTO IN 12H ﹑ ﹒ in a past life, you might've died in a mental institution, possibly due to struggles with mental illness or some heavy internal battles. your death could’ve been shrouded in mystery, unnoticed, or even erased from history, leaving you to pass away alone, either physically or emotionally isolated. you might've been someone who dealt with self-destructive behaviors or just suffered quietly, leading to a tragic and forgotten end. now, in this lifetime, you might carry some unconscious fears or a heightened psychic sensitivity. it’s like you have this deep inner knowing, this strong intuition, and maybe even an attraction to the mystical, occult, or unknown realms. there could also be a subconscious fear of being isolated or abandoned, echoing that loneliness from your past-life death.
🍀 Jupiter and Venus conjunctions in synastry means a deep love that may go beyond understanding. The Venus person’s love is being expanded by the Jupiter person, take note of what house this is happening for you and them. For example, if you are a scorpio rising with a Jupiter in Pisces in the 5th house, someone with Venus in Pisces will fall in your 5th house, this gives the energy of a strong attraction towards each other. There is something spiritual and also escapist about this connection, how you both steer it will highlight how it goes. Careful of unprotected sex with the 5th house here.
🍀 to have your Venus in your partners 7th house makes the 7th house person feel like the planet person just gets them or gets their relationship values well. Venus in the 7th house usually indicates marriage but the rest of the chart has to align with that too. Venus in the first gives maximum attraction but Venus in the 7th house is more of an attraction to commit to each other or understand each other relationally. If the ruler of the sign venus is in is also in the 7th house? That’s a double whammy.
🍀 Leo moons and Libra moons is some of my favorite pairs to see, Leo moon understands the libra’s ways of beauty, vanity, appearances and glamour. In fact the Leo moon might feel happily influenced by the libra moon. The libra moon really enjoys the way the Leo moon is confident and outspoken and charming, a great partner in crime for parties, family gatherings and events. The best dressed couple or the luxurious couple.
🍀idk what it is about this pairing but Aries sun and Cancer suns? Magnets!! I believe the Cancer sun loves the confidence and boundaries the Aries person exhibits and the Arie person enjoys being loved, nurtured and cared for by the Cancer person. Cancers are resilient in nature but they exhibit it internally while aries exhibits it externally. The aries teaches cancer that they can take space and be bold about their beliefs and the cancer teaches the aries person to find strength within, that they can be emotional and still strong.
Libra Jupiter in 11th house can indicate having many opportunities in life that come through friendships and connections with others. People with this placement can often get very far in life simply because they talked to the right people at the right times. This is especially true if they also have Libra in their big 3 or Libra mercury.
Capricorn suns with Sagittarius mercury are surprisingly chill compared to the usual stoic reputation of Capricorn and energetic rep that Sagittarius has. My favorite friends and colleagues have this combination of placements and they are quite easy to get along with and fun to be around.
Very much like Virgo suns with Libra mercury, they can appear quiet and reserved at first, but become lively and chatty once they know you and have decided they like you. However unlike Virgo sun/Libra mercury people (who usually censor their words/tone and think out loud or form their opinions by talking through them first), not only are they a lot blunter (or straightforward, when older), they are more sure about where they stand, or certain of what they want to say on a topic before they say it.
Libra Mercury in the 11th house can have a lot of friends or just make and keep acquaintances very easily. These are the people who always "know a guy" or can say "my homegirl does that!" almost no matter what problem or need you have. They just know someone who can fix it. They are popular people, or at least seem that way to others.
They can sometimes appear to have a much larger network of friends and connections than they do, which is why many of them tend to either keep their friend/friend groups separate or may prefer to maintain superficial/lightweight connections with others over deeper and more intimate connections that would reveal more.
Capricorn Venus in 8th house people can go through a lot of one-sided relationships before landing the right person. They are probably the most caring and attentive of all the Venus sigs, but from my observations they are taken advantage of a lot and often treated very poorly by the majority of their partners.
My childhood friend has this placement (as well as a few of my relatives) and for over a decade I watched her pour so much love and care into men who ended up treating her like an afterthought. I never understood why, as she was very much what you'd think most males would consider wifey material.
She cooked, baked, was organized, and very clean. Motherly instincts intact, had a good job in healthcare and her own place. Knew how to kick back and have fun but could also be appropriately authoritative in the sense of managing a household.
Like you could just tell she would be a firm yet loving mother, or even if she did not have kids, you could tell she would be the kind of wife where the husband could hand her his entire paycheck if he wanted and not have to worry for a second that she would blow it on anything foolish. Very capable and responsible woman. I used to get so angry at the way men would come into her life and enjoy all the things she would do for them, including having her manage their money.
It was a bit surprising for me how quickly and easily men would put their finances in her hands, only for them to abruptly leave - usually for a woman who was chaotic and stressful too. I did not understand it then, and despite hearing all the talk about how men go for who they are passionate about even if they are the least productive, responsible, or capable person ever, I still don't get it now.
Capricorn in the 8th house can lead to a lot of situations where the native ends up handling other people's money because people can sense their stable energy and innate responsibility. But it can lead to the person feeling like they are nothing but a personal assistant or sentient savings account to others, and over time they can become (100% understandably) bitter if they do not meet someone genuine and kind in time to avoid this.
Aquarius in 6th house can have unusual or eccentric daily routines, or little quirks in the way they go about day to day tasks and responsibilities. I knew someone with this placement who could only brush his teeth in the morning and shower at night. He couldn't really bring himself to do it the other way around and would simply not do the thing at all that day if something disrupted that routine. He also had a job where his # of hours was consistent but his actual shift times weren't and he liked it that way "for the variety." He hated the thought of a schedule where he would have to arrive and leave at the same time every day.
Cancer Lilith in 1st house women can often run into situations where men string them along for a very, very long time. These men sense the stereotypical "nurturing/motherly" essence of Cancer but Cancer Lilith women display a unique twist on this essence where it is very clear to onlookers that her individuality and sense of self cannot be watered down or blended out into others.
Cancer Lilith 1H (and to a lesser extent Taurus Lilith 1H) women are the type who can have a husband, kids, work and manage the home without losing a single ounce of who they always were.
From my observations, they usually don't experience the fate many women meet, where they wake up one day and realize that they haven't even heard their first name in weeks because they're only remembered and referred to in terms of who they are to someone else ("Mom," "John's girlfriend," "Mr. Jones' wife").
Unfortunately, this rubs some men the wrong way, who will then subconsciously try to hang on to the parts of the Cancer Lilith women they like, while searching for other women who don't trigger their fear of women who retain their personality after marriage/children.
Gemini Sun Virgo Rising people can appear put-together and organized in public but could have very messy rooms or just have trouble keeping things in order at home.
People with Pisces in their 7th house might feel torn between going after people they are genuinely attracted to and people they perceive to be a better match, for whatever reason. They could also end up confusing the sense of security they feel with someone for love, or feeling more secure with someone than they should because of love.
Gemini Mars in 10th house does not mind going out of their comfort zone to further their career. They may even set aside their own values and morals if they believe that doing something will produce a good return on their investment (of time, effort, money, etc.).
Taurus Mercury in 9th house enjoys talking to people from other cultures about the foods they eat and what their daily routines and special/holiday ritual are like. They enjoy learning about other cultures on a more down-to-earth level, so they might be less interested in other philosophies and more into sensory differences.
Cancer Moon in 11th house identifies VERY strongly with their friend group and can become depressed or ill if there is too much discord between themselves and their friends, or between their friends with each other. They do not take kindly to any kind of abandonment from friends, real or imagined. If they decide you have left them or betrayed them one too many times, they will simply never speak to you again.
Virgo Mars people can be extremely picky when it comes to partners. One of my childhood friends has this placement and despite being a Sagittarius Sun & Mercury (along with having Venus in 9H), she barely has a romantic interest in anyone. She's not aromantic or asexual; she just gets the ick so easily that it is difficult for her to like anyone enough to date them for long. She didn't go into detail most of the time. She was the furthest from the kiss-and-tell kind of person, she would barely tell anyone even the name or age of anyone she was interested in, much less give details about her specific icks.
I tend to attract Virgo Mars people platonically and romantically quite often though, so I have other examples of the same trait.
My ex-husband is a Virgo sun with Virgo Mars and Leo Venus and the smallest things would throw him off. Like if I made scrambled eggs and all the pieces weren't perfectly yellow (if any got slightly browned, he would consider the entire pot as "burnt" and would ruin his day). If I did laundry and did not strictly separate the colors (I will wash black, dark grey, and bold colors clothes together. He will separate them all. I will wash off-white and very light grey or beige with white clothes. He would look at me crazy and ask me to just do a different household chore and leave the laundry to him. Hea
He also apparently got the ick from my frugality? Lol. I had cheap sneakers and dollar-store headphones when we first got together. A few weeks later he asked where I was and I told him I was at the mall with a friend. He showed up and wordlessly gave me brand-new Samsung Galaxy earbuds before driving home lmao. Then a couple weeks after that he bought me new AirMaxes and made it a point to tell me that my existing sneakers were so cheap. And that he got good ones for me in a style that "makes your feet look smaller." I guess my foot size was not to his liking. Lol. I'm almost 6 feet tall and wear size 9.5/10 women's shoes (for males reading this, that is around 8/8.5 in your sizes, so don't start, pls
A previous ex of mine (Cancer Sun) also had Virgo Mars (and Venus) but he had the opposite ick - he didn't like that I always wore nice jeans and blouses even if we were only going to Walmart or his friends' houses. Apparently, it was "off-putting" for him that I was "too fancy, never just dress down and look comfortable, even in the house." I was like... but I am comfortable? And he would be like, "Nah you're so fancy all the time, it's kinda weird, like do you even own any sweatpants? Your hair is never messy? It's like you're never just relaxed."
Um, as a Scorpio Venus/Jupiter, Libra Mercury person, messy hair will never be in the same room as comfortable for me but we are broken up for a reason, LOL.
Yeah Virgo Mars are just really, really picky. Idk how else to put it. They might be bothered by very different things, but they're all bothered in general! Love 'em regardless, they're also attentive and will know what you like and also what you need.
Leo Mars in 2nd house can have a hard time feeling satisfied with what they own or with their level of skill in certain areas. They don't usually express envy outwardly though. They will happily gas up their friends and colleagues, but implode on themselves in private.
They can have frequent pity parties or episodes of extreme self-loathing that only their closest friends or partners ever witness. It can be difficult to pull them out of these moods as they tend to feel like they either don't have enough or are not enough in some way.
Aquarius Eros men and masculine people are often attracted to women and feminine people with strong or eccentric personalities. They lust after the kinds of people who didn't even bother rocking the boat and jumped out to swim upstream and chill somewhere else.
However, unless they have Juno in Aquarius, Aquarius 7H or some other placements that support long-term relationships/marriages/longevity with unusual people or non-traditional elements, they eventually abandon such love interests for someone who fits better into societal expectations. Ask me how I know. :(
sometimes i get extremely angry so i fire all my rayguns in rapid succession and it makes me feel better. can't let these emotions control me when i'm supposed to be controlling the world.
I was doing a Tarot reading and all the cards came out reversed. I thought the reading looked like someone else was reading for me and the cards were from their viewpoint.
This got me thinking, maybe reversal doesn't really have to mean the opposite, it offers an objective view, a circumstance, an aspect that's out of my control.
Another proposal is reversed cards are up in the air (the way they turn to the empty space in front of me), they haven't reached the intended meanings yet, but there's a possibility. 🔎🕯🪟
Finding it all very delicious at the moment, the contrast and co-mingling and interplay of intimate relationships and transactional ones.
Like Crozier and Little, for example. There are several key moments between them that I go consistently wild for, and the end of Episode Five is one of them.
Little is so downtrodden, so utterly worn out by the disrespect and outright animosity he's received from Crozier. But then there's that shift.
This Great Big Thing is asked of him that wouldn't have been, couldn't have been asked if Crozier didn't hold some degree of respect for him and believe him capable of rising to the challenge. (And whether that's better or worse than the situation he was in before isn't entirely clear!)
That's been my interpretation for a long time but the more I think about it, the less I believe it. Or rather, the more I realise that it's not the whole picture...
Because - let's be real - what other choice did Crozier have in that situation? Who else could he have even chosen?
It's a transactional relationship as much as it is an intimate one and the delicious thing about it is that it goes both ways.
I'm thinking in particular of Little's response to the lawful mutiny in Episode Ten. He advocates for Crozier's rescue but never comments on the man's character, only on the skill and experience he can provide to support the remaining men toward the possibility of survival.
Little doesn't want to rescue Crozier just because he likes or respects him as a stand-up guy. He wants to rescue Crozier because he needs something from him.
It's not that there's no love or respect there, I think. It's that all the love and respect in the world isn't enough when it comes to the brutal nature of survival.
Or perhaps even it's that it's focused in the wrong place - each man respecting the other for the service he can provide rather than for who he is as a person or even just for respect's own sake.
