Flora had stood up fast, turning to Elain with wide eyes. Before, they were working in silence. Flora picked herbs for one of her new experiments, while Elain sat on a stool in front of a portable table, propagating some tulips from the continent. They both started early while the greenhouse was still cool.
Elain glance up thought for a moment. “I’m not sure. Should be before dinner.”
Flora sighed deeply, dumping her herbs into her basket. “I doubt that will be in time. I forgot to tell you, Ez wanted to speak with you both today. Knowing him, he’ll find you first.”
Elain gently tilted her head. “What for?”
“For that,” Flora pointed at Elain’s round belly hidden by the table. “He’s worse than me with his worries. He told me last night he thought you and Lu would be leaving and not love him anymore.”
Elain’s eyes instantly watered, shock etched into her features. “Why would he ever think that?”
“I don’t know,” she sighed and placed her herbs in her basket. “I asked if it was nerves from not being the only youngling anymore. He said no, he was still excited. I think someone in court said something in front of him. You know, because of Lucien’s real father.”
Elain instantly angered. “They have no right to gossip in front of our boy like that. It’s none of their business who Lucien might be tied to. We talked to Helion half a century ago. He isn’t going anywhere any time soon. By the mother, if something happens the magic might even choose Elios instead of Lucien.”
“Cauldron knows it but these old fae like gossip.” Flora sighed heavily again. “Remember when I had Ez? I just knew they were whispering behind my back.” Then she laughed. “Maybe that’s why Ez worries so much.”
“Maybe.”
A flood of emotions hit Elain hard. It was easy to be overwhelmed with the babe growing inside her. She rubbed her stomach, the babe gently kicking back. Ez had been the most excited out of all of them when Elain’s scent changed. Once he knew what that meant anyways. He’d help her pick out the colors for her announcements and theme for the nursery. She didn’t understand why he would suddenly think they would leave.
Sure enough, he found her later while she was sitting by the fountain in the afternoon, soaking in the sun and cool breeze in the swing. Judging by the ink on his hands, he’d finished lessons for the day. She smiled at him as he approached, trying to not giggle as she watched him brush his blond hair out of his face from the wind.
“Lainy?”
“Yes, my little beastie?”
He smiled bashfully, stopping in front of her. “Mama said I should talk to you.”
“Did she?” Elain feigned ignorance. “About what?”
“Well, you and Lu are having a baby.” He glanced down at her stomach.
“We are.”
“And you said I was your baby.”
“I did.”
There was a long pause between them and Elain rocked the swing with her foot gently while Ez looked at the ground.
He finally whispered, “So you, you don’t need me anymore?”
It hurt Elain’s heart to hear him say it. More so than she thought it would. She blinked profusely before asking, “What do you mean, Ez?”
“You have your own baby now. You don’t need me anymore. I’ll just be mama and papa's.”
“Why would you think that?”
“I know you love me and mama and papa. But you aren’t my mama.” He frowned, with tears in his eyes. “Are you going to leave and have a new house? For your new baby?”
Mother help her.
“Come here,” Elain stopped the swing and reached out to him. He hesitated, but stepped forward. Elain cupped his face and brushed his cheek with her fingers. “Why do you think we are going to leave?”
“Drax moved away.” He whispered.
Right, Elain thought. Drax was one of the few younglings Ezyrn’s age. Soren was expecting again and announced it right as her husband agreed to take on governing duties in the village in the east. They’d left a week ago, which explained Ez’s sudden thoughts.
“We aren’t going to leave. Ez, look at me.” She tilted his chin up gently. “You are just as much my baby as this one. I will always need you, my little beastie.”
“Even Lu?”
“Lu especially. We love you very much. We aren’t going anywhere. Understand?” Ez nodded. After a moment she sat back and added. “Do you want to know a surprise?” His eyes widened and he nodded again. “It’s a boy. Which means you’ll have a brother in a sense. Your mama doesn’t know yet. Do you want to be the one to tell her?”
He grinned.“And papa?”
“Papa knows.” She couldn’t help herself laughing. Ez didn’t know it was payback for when he was in his mothers belly. “It’s a surprise for just your mother. The court doesn’t know yet either.”
“Can I go tell her now?” His face was lit with excitement.
“At dinner. I want Lu and your father to see the look on her face too,” Elain replied, with a cryptid smile of her own. She stood from the swing and held out her hand to Ez. “Let’s go for a walk. Tell me about what you learned today.”
Any fears Ez had were gone. He took Elain’s hand and they walked to the gardens together while he told her about his studies of the day.
Thinking about my true immortal OC again and wanted to introduce her properly to y'all, along with some of my other ocs.
Flora Fitzgerald
- She's so old that she doesn't remember her original name, place of origin or if she was always a true immortal or not.
- Can regenerate any missing limb/organ, including her head, but prefers to reattach them to her instead.
- She can change her appearance every 100 years. Currently, she is a 5'3 woman with curly brown hair and green eyes.
- Her best friend is a 48 year old man named Franco. He is also her parole officer.
- She currently lives in Colorado.
- She owns a flower shop called "Eternal Blooms".
- She keeps a collection of seeds and plants that are extinct.
- Hates it when she meets someone cute and goes on a date with them, only to wake up and discover that some of her organs are gone. (her poor kidneys)
- Currently has one employee. She absolutely adores them and hopes that she can convince them to become immortal.
- She has a fear of losing personal belongings because she went to a museum and her favorite dress from 300 years ago was on display.
- She's arch frienemies with this other immortal who is allergic to nuts. For the past 5,000 years, Flora has triggered their allergy.
Franco "Jaws" Wasilewska
- Works for an organization called the Observation of Anomalous Citizenry Foundation, also known as OACF/OAC Foundation.
- Is Flora's parole officer and has been her parole officer since he first joined the OAC.
- He's almost 50 now.
- His call sign is "Jaws" because he has Thalassophobia (the fear of being in deep, dark bodies of water, like the ocean). He learned he had this fear while he was doing water survival training. He ended up panicking during his first drill in the ocean and biting the drill Sargent and the paramedics.
- Single.
- Is currently cleaning up the mess Flora made at the morgue her bad date works at.
The Sisters (there's currently two)
- Haven't given them names yet and I am taking suggestions.
- They are not true immortals like Flora, but demi-immortals. They became immortal around the 15th century via a very annoying, very complex spell.
- Their current goal is to find their little sister who did the spell wrong and died. They are convinced that their little sister has been reincarnated and are determined to find her, or him, or them. Reincarnation is full of surprises after all.
- They are kinda obsessed with finding their little sister, think the diamonds from Steven Universe if Pink disappeared instead of "died".
- They are the co-founders and co-owners of a cosmetic company that primarily makes perfumes, lotions, soaps and, while this is not cosmetic it is very important to their company, glass bottles. Their company is called Syntry, because their products are a staple for every decade and century.
Introducing my magical girl OC Flora! She is the adoptive daughter of the Marvelous Quartet and eventually gains magical girl powers and joins their team (officially becoming the Marvelous Quintet). Flora was born to the same top-secret project that Iris was, but because of certain events was allowed to be raised by the Quartet and have a (semi) normal life. She shares an especially close bond with Erina, with the two being very similar in a lot of ways.
Flora initially starts out as an infant, but due to her innate powers she ages faster than an average child. I'm a big fan of the "older alter ego" trope, so her magical girl form further ages her up (but only temporarily). Flora is a typical little girl, full of curiosity and mischief, not to mention love for her friends and family. Although her adoptive mothers wanted to keep her out of danger, Flora ends up becoming a mage to help them.
If you couldn't tell, Flora is heavily inspired by two characters: Hana Makihatayama from Ojamajo Doremi and Ha-chan from Mahou Tsukai Precure. Both are babies who are adopted by the main magical girl characters and then become magical girls themselves after aging up quickly.

Update: You can now read part 7 here!
“God, she was annoying,” Flora grumbles to herself, walking down the street back towards F.E.A.S.T. to lie down after finding a place to hide her bags between the dumpsters she’d rested by. “This has gotta be the shittiest couple of days I’ve ever had.”
“I believe you are simply just upset now. I have noticed joy and excitement within you multiple times since joining with you.”
“Whatever! Just need something to cool down, I guess… UGH, this sucks.” With the lunch rush near its end, the streets had become a little bit clearer as the citizens in the area returned to their jobs and lives off the roads and sidewalks. It almost felt calm, for as calm as New York could be in the middle of the day.
Passing by an alleyway, she feels her ear twitch. Something sounded like a gun being pulled out. Looking in the direction of the small noise, she sees exactly that, a pistol being pointed towards a woman who happened to take the wrong shortcut at the wrong time on her way back to work.
Flora turns away to move on.
“Do you not wish to intervene?” Vice pipes up.
“S’not my problem, sucks that it happened but she’ll probably recover.”
“And yet you seem to be avoiding a good opportunity to ‘cool down’, as you put it.”
She pauses for a moment, looking back. Flora groans, “ugh, fine, you’re right. Hope that guy’s hardier than he looks.” She runs back to the scene, changing her form when she’s sure no one’s looking. Throwing out a tentacled arm, she knocks the gun out of the mugger’s hands and pulls it towards her.
“Not so scary without a weapon, are ya’, tough guy?” She stomps towards the man, cracking her knuckles and stepping on the firearm; crushing it beneath her foot. She jumps in between the two of them, grabbing him by his neck and pressing him against the wall.
The woman hurriedly puts away the money she was taking out from her purse and begins to move away, shouting her gratitude to Flora, “thank you so much for saving me!”
“Get the hell out of here, dumbass!” Flora yells back, “Didn’t do this for you anyway.”
She stares into the thief’s face, tightening her grip slightly, “I’ve just had a really shitty day and I’m lookin’ for a good excuse to beat the crap out of someone.”
Reeling her fist back for a punch, she continues looking into his terrified face and for just a split second, she sees the terrified face of her parents in his. She throws the punch, narrowly missing his head and creating a large rupture in the wall, as the wicked grin on her face dissipates.
She throws the man to the side and begins to stomp a nearby trash can; almost flattening it from the force, “GOD! FUCKING! DAMMIT!” She looks back to where she tossed him, leaving him on his back. “You wanna die?! Get the fuck out of here!” she roars at him, causing him to scurry away in fright.
With all eyes off her, she morphs back to her usual self.
“Feels like I just can’t have one goddamn thing in this shithole city!”
“I do not understand why you hesitated in your violent actions. You wanted to hurt someone to ‘cool off’, no?”
“I did, but fuckin’, I don’t wanna be seeing my dead dad in people while I’m kicking their asses!”
“Did not you dislike your predecessors? Were they not terrible to you?”
“I mean, sure, but… I wanted to believe that they’d become better one day… That I could be their daughter who they loved… They won’t even get that chance now…”
“Your species continues to vex me.”
“Yeah, humans are dumb like that.”
F.E.A.S.T., around 3:30pm
Finally having made it back, she slumps onto whatever seat she can find. After being in a fight with someone with super strength, she really needed to relax.
Unfortunately, due to her newly heightened sense of hearing, she can’t help but hear the TV on the wall playing the afternoon news.
“Breaking news! New masked vigilante on the streets? Or simply an uncommon criminal? This morning, a store was robbed by an individual with a purple face covering right after the building mysteriously lost all power. Police are still investigating the scene, however witnesses report that they had their faces covered with a ‘sticky, purple goo’ that trapped them against the wall. Hours later however, our on foot reporters discovered another case.”
The cameras change to a familiar street with a woman Flora had recently met. “I dunno who it was, but some lady in a green and purple costume saved me from being held up by a guy with a gun! Had this big, freaky smile on her back, real weirdo, but at least I don’t have to worry about that guy shooting me now!”
“Nooooooo…” Flora whimpers, head down in her hands, feeling like her soul is leaving her body more with every word.
azalea loves her parents!!! DESPITE how much work she's left to deal with... she knows her parents are working so much because they want to keep their clothes shop open, (despite the decline of customers) so she doesn't blame them because she has a similar passion when it comes to her own lil shop...
they have both been explorers in the past, and when they stopped doing that they still kept travelling around to know more about fashion found in different areas and cultures, but that was many years ago..
they have a lot of stories and knowledge from their trips, but due to them settling down in a pretty isolated place for many many years they have started to become a bit out of touch lmao
they took azalea's transition super well....her isolation from the world outside the forest caused her to worry about her feelings, since she'd never heard about pokémon transitioning before... however her parents were really good at reassuring her that people like her actually exist in the world! however they weren't able to memorize everything, so for a long while azalea didnt even know what trans people are called lmao
(her first trans friend made sure she knew though lol)
this is getting really long so i'll spare the details of each parent for when they have proper refs... but here's a little doodle of her mom, Flora :]
as for her dad, well...he gets to be a mystery for now because i have no drawings and no name for him lmao, i can at least say hes very serious and shy at the same time..
Edds been taking advantage of Matt’s memory loss from his brain damage to manipulate his memory of events, and straight up either lying or emiting entire events. While he believes it’s for the best, it’s not something he should be deciding for Matt. And edd don’t even thinking of lying to your mother, especially not in front of everyone. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Flora: EDWARD!!!
Edd:…
Flora: I did not rase you to act this way! You are going to go to matts room and apologize and explain to him everything do you understand me!
