MY 3 VERY ADORED HATCHLINGS OCs!! Each is from a different AU.

Sinter is my go-to hatchling (my main man (gn) if you will) and is the hatchling of the post-nova fic I'm currently writing. They're named after siliceous sinter which is also known as geyserite ::)

I don't want to spoiler my post nova but I'll say they're a bit of a goof, not the brightest, and more reckless than Gossan would approve of. Gossan did manage to train Sinter to be a careful flyer, but upon realising they were in a time loop, all that training went out the window (Sinter IS a good pilot, as long as you ignore the landing part)

Next we have Fiorite who is the hatchling starring in my galaxy/sci-fi AU.

The general gist of the AU is a no time loop, no supernova setting where the Hearthians have to leave Timber Hearth due to the Bramble seed. The Hearthians end up joining the rather large society consisting of many different species spread across several solar systems. Fior and Gossan both join Feldspar in their mission to eradicate the Bramble from the galaxy (because wuh-oh the threat in this AU is not that the universe is dying, but that the Bramble is threatening to take over and destroy all the planets).

And lastly, Fluorite of my Within Wilds AU. Essentially, after observing the Eye of the Universe, things ... changed. A lot. Needless to say apparently Fluorite isn't a pilot anymore? And Hal is? Um that's not gonna stop them!

Think I’m finally done!

The color palette for her clothes mostly came from her namesake, which is a gemstone called fluorite. She also came out with brighter colors than I originally planned, but working more desaturated made her look strange and muddy

I honestly think dark clothes would look nicer on her, but this fits her personality. Maybe she could wear darker colors later on after she starts to recover more.

Community Gardens

Ehehe another animatic/pmv/whatever this is. Guys I made this in less than a week. I'm crazy. (DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG WASTELAND BABY TOOK ME??? LIKE A MONTH????). I had a vision and I went for it.

The main point of making this was to have fun and not be too perfectionistic about anything (AND FUN WAS CERTAINLY HAD!!!!). Also to make sure I don't draw with my wrist when doing line art (thank you Fluorite for your ears being the way they are, I literally can't draw them with just my wrist).

Um I'm not sure why I chose Fluorite for this. I think they just kinda fit the vibe and they were the one I wanted to draw.

Anyway. It was really fun to draw in a different style and not worry so much about how everything looks. The animated parts were actually really fun too. I think this has made me more ambitious than I already was (is that a good or bad thing? I guess I'll find out!). I definitely made this for myself but I hope you enjoy too!!

I love thinking about how Fluorite would handle things after Autumn’s death.

She would insist on either burying or cremating her, so she can always check to make sure that she’s still truly dead.

After killing her, Cara and Melon would have to pull her away because she won’t stop stabbing the corpse. She would refuse to leave the body for a while, convinced that Autumn would be back as soon as she turns around, like she has every single time before this one. She’d have trouble internalizing that Autumn was really and truly dead this time, that she wasn’t going to come back, that she didn’t have to keep killing her.

She would cut her hair one night, unable to stand the sight of her own reflection, of the hair she’d spent so long styling in the same way that Autumn had. Even after all this time, Autumn refuses to let her live in peace. Her face still haunts her every time she looks in the mirror.

The scars Autumn gave her would become one of the main things used to ground Fluorite. She knows exactly how many she has, and where they all are. She knows each part of herself that was taken and replaced. And because she knows each one, she can always check to make sure that they haven’t changed, that there aren’t any new ones and any wounds are healing at a normal rate. She can always check the time to make sure that it was indeed passing normally, that she didn’t miss a chunk of the day.

It would take time for things to be okay. For so long everything Fluorite did was because of Autumn, either being done for her or in spite of her. It would be awhile before she could start to feel like her own person again.
