I originally designed her for a walk cycle assignment--and here she is 4 years later, being used in yet another walk cycle assignment! I guess we've come full circle.

Hmm the world for her isn't very developed so she doesn't really have a name, but here's some concept art for my garden angel!

Ngl I'm not really sure why I call her an angel except for maybe the halo?? But no name so that's what she's stuck as haha. As you can see in the sketches on the right, her halo changes form/positions depending on her mood! The normal form is a spiky crown, but they kind of melt when she's upset. (I didn't finish drawing thorns on all the halos, but they're all supposed to be spiky)

For her job, she's a mix between a gardener and gatekeeper - her main duty is to guard the gateway between her world and others, and she's expected to tend to the plants that grow there on the side. I was planning to incorporate more of a nature/plant-oriented motif into her fighting style but I never got around to finishing the concept art p:

Pretty friendly and easy-going person overall, but she takes her job very seriously - so don't mess with her plants and don't force her to keep you out of places you don't belong ✨️

Bonus fact is that in very early versions she had a friend with a planet-based halo, but I don't have any of her art on me anymore 😔

Thank you!!! Hahahahahaha I don't draw them nearly as much as I should, and their lore all has a varying amount of,,, thought put into it. The ones I mainly draw for funsies are:

Spiky, an angel in charge of the garden on her island, though she has no wings. Both her hair color and lack of wings are a genetic condition people can be Really Weird about—I guess you can look at it as kind of an autism metaphor? I have a comic sketched out, somewhere deep in my backlog, where she heavily considers just dying it.

I like making OCs in pairs so they don't get lonely. Her *cough* best friend who she'd maybe sort of die for is named Nova. I don't have any recent art for her so here's the reference sheet I put up for Artfight last year:

And this is Tess! She has another name that she has more or less thrown away. My lore for her is constantly changing because I'd like to write her story someday but can never really make up my mind. The things that are more set in stone:

She's human, which means her grasp of magic is tenuous. She lives with a college student, Naomi, in the city, and gets by on eating dreams.

The blue eye comes from not-human magic. She gets it from her companion which is...

Tristan! They are not human and not particularly attached to human ideals of gender, but his coworkers tend to assume he's male, so he's adapted to fit that perception because it's just easier. He is very powerful in his home world but also very... not wanted. So he's quite lonely, and spends a majority of his time in the human world. Yet another OC I don't draw as much as I should 😔✌️
